Volume 53 - Issue 1 January, 2019 Air Capital Corvette Club Newsletter Message from the Prez... Happy New Year to each of you. I have great hopes for an excellent year for the Air Capital Corvette Club and look forward to serving as your President this year. Corvette Does America Proud! Yes, it does, and as members of the long history of Corvette drivers and the Air Capital Corvette Club it is important that we recognize that each time we drive our Vettes it is an opportunity to show that pride, and respect for others. I m proud to have been asked to be on the E-Board and welcome all ideas and help to make this year successful! Excitement Is Standard Equipment! This is also true. I m lucky to live ¾ mile from the 96 Bypass, so anytime I need to get a boost of acceleration the opportunity is close at hand. It makes the milk run to Target a welcome break. Another source of excitement is being with the members of the Air Capital Corvette Club. Never have I had the opportunity to mingle with such a group of interesting and diverse individuals. I love hearing your unique stories, whether or not those stories involve Corvettes. (But the Corvette stories always seem to be the most fun eh?) Continued on Page 2 Page 1

Next year we should see the first mid-engine Corvette unveiled. I sure hope someone in our group, or at least in Wichita, gets one so we can see it up close and personal. And just like America s Sports Car, our club must continue to evolve and grow, to identify innovative ways to engage both old and new members, appreciating favorite activities enjoyed each year and new experiences that challenge us to stretch a little. My challenge to you: Share at least one new idea for a club event! My phone and email are always open. Cheers!
