Executive Committees Skylar Campbell moved to spend no more than $100 on pizza for Mentor/Mentee night Passed Abby Coy moved to spend no more than $200 on food for the Non-Chicken/Chicken BBQ Passed Andy Helming moved to spend $25 on a booth for the Purdue College of Agriculture Ice Cream Social Passed Mentor/Mentee Night will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2013 in Smith Hall 118 at 6:00 p.m. Mentors are asked to bring either chips or a drink. Mentees can just bring themselves! The Non-Chicken/Chicken BBQ will be held on Sunday, August 25 th at 6:00 p.m. at Pickett Park. Seniors are asked to bring drinks, juniors should bring chips, and sophomores are asked to bring desserts. Again, freshman can just bring themselves! The Purdue College of Agriculture Ice Cream Social will be held on Wednesday, August 28 th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. on the Lilly Hall front lawn. Members are needed to help run the Purdue Soils Invitational on Saturday, September 21th. The location is TBA.

Indiana FFA District IV kickoff will be on October 2 nd at the Ivy Tech campus in Lafayette. The Purdue Invitational Crops contest will be on Saturday, November 16 th. More details to come at a later date. The -Purdue Parent-Member Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Campus and Community Started to plan for Fall Frolic on October 3 rd at 5:30 pm. The food for the event was chosen to be hamburgers and hot dogs. The following are to be brought by members: Freshman: Drinks Sophomore: Chips/Side Junior: Desserts Seniors: Bring one of the above paper products Talked about possibly having a pumpkin painting event for a community service project. Program and CDE Discussed Christmas Party activities. Brainstormed about potential improvements for the 2013-2014 year. Decided that a black soft shell jacket would be offered. Decided to continue the tradition of order black polos. District IV Kickoff will be held at McCutcheon High School on Wednesday, October 2 nd starting at 6 pm. Note that it will not be held at Ivy Tech in Lafayette as it was previously announced. Treasurer Andy Helming reported a formal balance of $8817.71 Executive Awards Membership and Finance The awards for the seniors have been purchased Discussed changing the date of senior sendoff Campus and Community Abandoned the idea of participating in the Angel Tree project Decided to help an Indiana FFA member with recent difficulties by buying her family gift cards and other resources. Program and CDE Finalized plans for the Christmas Party Decided to ask Stefany Deckard to be the speaker for our banquet in April. Publicity Came up with new potential speakers for 240 in the spring semester.. Jacob Mattox moved to amend the motion previously made at our October 29 th meeting stating to spend $150 on two families for the Angel Tree project by striking out the number $150 and inserting the words, Up to $150 depending on dues kept locally and by striking out the words Angel Tree and inserting the words Dressler Family so that the motion now reads, I move that -Purdue donate up to $150 depending on the dues kept locally to the Dressler family. Motion passed Holly moves to change the date for senior sendoff to the correspond with the Parent- Member Banquet. Motion passed Holly Kyler moves to have the chapter match the amount of canned food that members bring in during the -Purdue Christmas Party.

Motion passed The Christmas Party will be held on Thursday, December 5 th at a 6:00 p.m. in FS 1215. Members will need to bring the following items: Freshmen: Drinks Sophomores: Desserts Juniors: Side Dishes (homemade or chips, pretzels, etc.) Seniors: (Optional) Appetizers or side dishes Events being held at the Christmas Party include: A white elephant gift exchange (maximum of $10 per person) A class hot pepper eating contest An ugly sweater contest The chapter will be donating canned food to a local pantry. Please bring a canned food item to the Christmas Party. In past years, members were required to bring a canned food item in order to attend the party. Although, due to a lack of prior notice this year, it is an optional activity; however, it is strongly suggested that a canned food item or items be brought to the Christmas Party in order to help out the West Lafayette community. Senior Sendoff will be on Saturday, April 12, 2014 during the Parent-Member Banquet. Note that it has been moved from the previously mentioned date in February. The -Purdue Parent-Member Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014. A motion was made by the Campus & Community committee to hold a Chili Soup and Grilled Cheese dinner on February 19 th at 6:30 p.m. in AGAD 121. Macie Wippel talked about the activities that are being planned for Ag Week.
