UNDER THE WEATHER: Father Joe Jerome is recovering at home after suffering a heart attack in June, and getting three stents put in. He was formerly pastor at All Saints Episcopal in Sunnyside, before being reassigned to both Church of the Messiah in Islip, and Christ Church in Brentwood. I was driving my sister (Annette) on an errand, said the youthful 57-year-old, and I suddenly started sweating. He added, No pain, but I knew something was wrong. I stayed alert waiting and during the trip to Southside Hospital, which was in a fire truck! Father Joe s former neighbor Gail Wagner let Father Dowd of Queen of Angels know, who includes him in prayers at mass. Get well soon wishes may be sent to: Fr. The MTA shutdowns on weekends for noise reduction repairs presents challenges for travelers between Astoria-Ditmars Blvd. and Queensboro Plaza through Sept. 9-11. In addition to the MTA website, for survival tips from different stops, such as these regarding the Astoria-Ditmars Blvd.: Q69 bus down Ditmars Boulevard.
