Public Works Director 's Report July 2, 2018 To: Glenpool Utility Services Authority Board Members, The following report highlights and summarizes the various activities that are currently being addressed by the Public Works Department. Waste Water Treatment Plant: Submitted Monthly Discharge Monitoring Report ( DMR) report to ODEQ. Passed the quarterly Bio Monitoring ( wet test ) 2 sewer backups were reported both were on the cities side. Submitted our lab certification samples which we are required to do annually to make sure our lab equipment is working properly. We are still waiting on the results. Water Distribution: Meter reading started on June 4th and ended on June 5 th. Rereads for June were 0 176 Service Orders, 6 Blue tags were issued by the water billing dept. 4 New service taps and 3 leaks were repaired. 196 Line locates were issued by call Okie which brings the total for 2018 to 1374 locates. There were 182 turned off for non-payment of which 77 paid to be turned back on that day which the crews stayed until 7 pm to make sure the customers who paid were all turned back on. The annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR) has been sent to ODEQ and a copy of the report has been posted on the city web site. This report is about our drinking water which with all the testing we do the report shows that our results are way below the EPA / ODEQ limits and that our water is safe to drink. Parks and Streets: This time of year is mainly mowing season which a crew will stop mowing if any work orders come up (pot holes need filled or tree limbs need cut) those are just eamples of some of the work orders they receive. They even stop mowing to assist on water cut off day. 12205 S. The breakdown of mowing is listed below: Street right of ways: 40 acres Parks: 115 acres Detention ponds: 15 acres Misc.: 30 acres (Soccer comple, WWTP, Outfall, Lift Stations etc.) Total Acres Mowed: 200 acres Ecept for the detention ponds the rest are mowed with 4 zero turn mowers on a weekly basis during the growing season along with crews go to the parks every morning to empty trash cans and pick up the parks before they start mowing and weedeating. 12205 S. (John Gonsalves, Finance Director) Mr. Tillotson, City Manager eplained to the Board of Trustees that the Resolution addresses an Agreement between the City and GUSA, therefore each entity should approve the Resolution.
