The Safety Village targets young children and is a health and safety related program. The V.I.P. program is geared to grade 6 students and addresses such topics as peer pressure, bullying and drugs. The High School Liaison program is a relationship building program which has been extremely successful; there are three officers involved in this program. The officers are in the high schools daily. Ms. Scislowski commented on the reformation of the C.O.A.S.T. (Crisis Outreach and Support Team) in conjunction with Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital to provide a proactive response to mental health issues in the City. Superintendent Langlois reported he is finalizing the MOU; two officers are assigned and are in the process of setting up protocols.
