Cheryl Wall, County Assessor, provided a quarterly department update as well as her 2018 preliminary budget. Motion by Folstad, seconded by Larson and carried, to approve a three month agreement with Pro-West to provide GIS services six days per month both on-site and off-site in the amount of $15,824.80. Commissioner Larson offered the following resolution and moved for its adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Folstad and carried. RESOLUTION 29-17 BE IT RESOLVED, by Wilkin County that the County enter into a Grant Contract with the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs (MDVA) to conduct the following program: County Veterans Service Office Operational Enhancement Grant Program. The grant must be used to provide outreach to the

County s veterans; to assist in the reintegration of combat veterans into society; to collaborate with other social service, educational institutions, and other community organizations for the purpose of enhancing services offered to veterans; to reduce homelessness among veterans; and to enhance the operations of the county veteran service office, as specified in Minnesota Laws 2015, Chapter 77, Article 1, Section 37, Subdivision 2. This grant should not be used to supplant or replace other funding. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, by County of Wilkin that Ron Verhaagen, the County Veterans Service Officer, be authorized to execute the Grant Contract for the above mentioned program on behalf of the County. WHEREUPON the above resolution was adopted at Breckenridge, Minnesota this 15th day of August, 2017. Commissioner Larson offered the following resolution and moved for its adoption. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Folstad and carried. RESOLUTION 30-17 WHEREAS, the County Board of Commissioners of the County of Wilkin, State of Minnesota, desires to offer for sale certain parcels of land that have forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of taxes, and WHEREAS, said parcels of land have been reviewed by the County Board of Commissioners and have been classified as non-conservation land as provided for in Minnesota Statutes 282.01. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Wilkin County Board of Commissioners hereby certifies that all parcels of land on the attached list have been viewed and comply with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 85.012, 92.461, 282.01 subd. 8, 282.018 and other statutes that require the withholding of tax forfeited lands from sale. The County Board of Commissioners hereby certifies that the Soil and Water Conservation Board of the district in which the land is located has reviewed the attached land sale list and identified any and all non-forested marginal land and wetland. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Wilkin County Board of Commissioners hereby request approval from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources for the sale of said lands.
