Many exciting booths and activities are being planned to provide health and safety education and awareness to children from preschool through 5th grade. Details TBA Coming Soon Harlan 100 Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and Industry 1901 Hawkeye Avenue 10:00 AM - 02:00 PM CST Carol McHugh, (712) 755-2114 info@exploreshelbycounty.com To help raise funds for the Shelby County Trails Committee efforts of adding additional bike trails and walking trails to Shelby County, the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be holding the Inaugural Harlan 100. This will be a 3-person bike team race around the Historic Downtown Square in Harlan, Iowa. Bikes will be provided and each team will use identical bicycles for the race. The key will be strategy of changing riders as all 3 persons of the team will be required to ride a set number of laps during the race. There will be multiple age categories to enter, and proceeds from the event will support the Shelby County Trails Committee. Early plans are to hold this event in June 2016.
