Are You Ready? By Peggy Stodola, Denton County Campaigns Chair November 6 th is just a few weeks away. We all know how important this mid term election is for our country and for our great state of Texas. I m sure all GCRW members are registered to vote and you know that your voting status is Active, right??? Would you please share this important information with your friends? You must be registered to vote no later than October 9 th. If you have moved recently, you need to submit a change of address by that same date (October 9 th ). You can go online to your county elections website (see below) to verify that you are registered to vote; to see your early voting and election day polling places; and to view (and print) a sample ballot. If you are not registered or if you need to make any changes to your registration information, you can print out the Voter Registration Application, complete it, sign it and mail it or deliver it to your county election office. Collin County: http://www.collincountytx.gov/elections/pages/default.aspx Denton County: http://www.votedenton.com/elections office/ Dallas County: http://www.dallascountyvotes.org/ EARLY VOTING: Monday, October 22 nd through Friday, November 2 nd (check your county elections website for times and locations). The last day to apply for an absentee ballot is October 26 th. That completed ballot must be received by the county elections office no later than November 6 th. NOTE: If you don t know who your elected officials are, you can go to the following link and type in your home address: http://www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us/home.aspx

Life Chain Plano Sunday, October 7, 2018 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Plano Planned Parenthood 600 N. Central Expressway Plano, Texas 75074 Please join us and people from all over the world as we silently pray or meditate for an hour and a half to end abortion. Feel free to bring a chair and dress for comfort considering the weather. No sign up is necessary. Virginia Dr. Dallas, Texas 75237 Please sign up to join us for a one hour or longer increment in silent prayer and meditation. Our peaceful vigil is dedicated to the protection of mothers and saving the lives of unborn babies. Feel free to bring a chair and dress for comfort considering the weather.
