Next week s meeting including, stout@hand, Leadership and Events and (November 9th) is going to be held in Red Cedar on North Campus. Chris Lunde is looking for more people to sign up for Relay for Life its only 172 days away, the committee will meet twice a month to discuss fundraising and theme ideas. Corey Van Der Weele needs every IRHA Representative to turn in a report by eight pm. on Monday Nights. GLACURH is less than 2 weeks away! WURHA Applications are coming out next week! If you are interested in applying for NCC/WCC please see Trey after the meeting. Matt is working on the kickoff event which will happen before Thanksgiving break. We are in the final stages and will have all the details at next week s meeting. Glad everyone dressed up in their Halloween costume! Dana Fritz: International week is being held on November 9 th 14 th. It s a pretty cool time so check it. Ben Markl: If your HEC is thinking about doing a holiday service project (Thanksgiving/December) you should start discussing that at your meetings now to be prepared, Andrea Fults: There is an Employment Opportunity where you can be on the Campus Programming Board for BDP. BDP taking applications for 10 different positions. Blue Devil Production is in charge of entertainment on campus. If you are interested check it out, there are applications available at the SOC desk or at www.bdp.uwstout.edu and they are due on November 11, 2009. Leadership & Events worked on posters and started to print them and will be hanging up some of the posters later this week. They also made final decisions on the food, which are just going to have an assortment of cookies along with some fruit punch. Stout@Hand had increased attendance and is working on passing NCC/WCC election legislation to be discussed in hot topics. No meeting due to North Campus Halloween trick or treat. Page 2

The Dining Service Advisory Board is meeting currently during the IRHA meeting. No Report The first meeting is coming up this Friday. The first meeting is coming up in the next week. AFM is finalizing event ideas. CK met on Tuesday for set up of the haunted house. The Halloween party for CK and TO was held on Wednesday, October 28 and we had a great turn out of people. HK discussed their Halloween Party, and also discussed our Thanksgiving party. We also brought up volunteering for our hall dog. We have training for that on Nov. 10th. MC finalized their Halloween party and went over their constitution. South held the meeting the other night and discussed possible event ideas. At TO last meeting last week we discussed the topics on the table and than walked the halls of CK and delivered them Halloween candy. We called it Tricking and Treating; it is part of our Anti-fued. Each month we will choose a different hall and choose different things to do for them; vacuum their rooms, take out trash, clean basement, clean outside, ect. Our next meeting is tomorrow night at 7pm...come join us in the coffee lounge! Fleming Hall does not currently have any plans for the month of November. They will be having their Exec. meeting tomorrow night to discuss future plans for their HEC. The meeting covered the north campus trick or treat which is happening this Wednesday 29th. Hovlid is also working on planning a candy counting contest for November; other activities will likely be planned at the next meeting. North Hall had their first event which was Halloween themed, carving and/or painting pumpkins, and also cookie decorating. Their next meeting will be this Wednesday, and are going to start planning our next event that they are going to be doing. North Campus Trick or Treat was a success and a lot of fun. Red Cedar also had a decent turnout for their Halloween Door Decorating Contest. Wigen Hall was unable to have a meeting last week due to the North Campus Trick-o-Treat. At Wigens next meeting, this coming Wednesday, they will finish up our constitution. Page 3

Meeting Adjourned at: Vote: Moved by: Seconded by: 6:50 P.M. 19-0-0 Tegan Moersfelder Jessica Stevens Inter Residence Hall Association Proposal Form NCC/WCC Election Process WHEREAS, Candidates running for NCC/WCC position gives a speech in front of IRHC, and WHERAS, The NCC/WCC position is unique to the Residence Hall Association, and WHERAS, The NCC/ WCC has more face time with the IRHC, and WHEREAS, online voting can be untimely, have technological errors, and is susceptible to errors. Therefore be it resolved that, Article I, Section 4, Item 2 of the Inter Residence Hall Association By-Laws to read: 2. Election procedures for IRHA Executive Officer Candidates. A. The President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Marketing Specialist of the IRHA shall be elected in the month of April on a day selected by the IRHC. The NCC/WCC of IRHA shall be elected in December on a day selected by the IRHC. B. Candidates for Executive Office must submit the Residence Hall Association Candidate Agreement form as well as a valid petition with signatures from fifty (50) residents from the residence halls. C. Voting for IRHA Executive Officers with the exception of the NCC/WCC position shall occur online and last for no more that seven (7) days. All members of the IRHA shall receive an election E-mail through the UW-Stout email account notifying them of the candidates and giving them access to an electronic ballot. Each person may vote only once. D. NCC/WCC Executive Officer position will be elected on a day in December during the IRHC meeting with a confidence/no confidence vote from the IRHC. Page 5

E. IRHA Executive Officer candidates must prepare a short paragraph of no more that 500 words to be distributed to the members of the IRHA. The paragraph shall tell members why one is running for the position and go over candidates qualifications. F. Election to an office with the exception of NCC/WCC position shall occur by a majority of the votes cast by the members of the IRHA. In the event of a tie vote, a reelection shall take place within one week. G. For the positions for which there is only 1 candidate, the election shall occur by a majority vote of the IRHC. H. Write-in candidates will be allowed in the general election, however campaigning may not commence until the day petitions are due.
