Announcements and Committee Reports A&S- Assignments have been sent out please work steadily to complete them OFC- will not meet this week and was unable to meet the previous week hopefully will schedule a meeting soon E&A- was unable to meet this week. Still waiting on response from SGA president from traffic court candidates and his job audit. The election code revision is on 2 nd reading tonight SRC- Meetings are Wednesday 4-6 pm collaborating with CAB and e branch senate on the run will be Dec 4 th 12-3. Mental health week was a success thankful for all of the attendees and the committee IDSC- Met Last week discuss project 130 and would like the senate to get involved Classic Trip this weekend they re will be a Meet&Greet Itinerary has been sent out.
J&R- Met this past Wednesday past the bills that went through committee. SEC- didn t meet this past week excited about the details of the upcoming classic trip H. Executive and Judicial Branch Reports Alexys Lynn- OLD BUSINESS E-Branch Report: November 13, 2017 Town Hall (Attendees 20+) The Town Hall was a success, thanks to all that came out. We will utilize the time at the Classic, as a tri-branch to decide how to go about some of the students concerns and issues. Project 130 (Department of Community Affairs pairing with Volunteer Services Program). Project 130 is working to provide Thanksgiving Baskets to 130 families in need from our local community. We have been accepting nonperishable items and would like to reach our goal of 130 baskets by November 20 th. Please contact Peachlin James or Tykia Maxwell if you have any questions about Project 130. Contact information is in E-Branch workroom on the E Branch Resource Board. Head Shots for all SGA Members Head shots were successful. If you contacted Alexys Lynn about rescheduling then that is in the works. Please remain responsive in efforts to reschedule. Official SGA Student Lobbying Group Applications We are searching for well qualified students with a passion for change on and offcampus. Application are upstairs in the lobby waiting area. SGA Meet and Greet/Block Party Meet and greet for this week is cancelled. Instead we will be having a Meet and Greet/Ugly Sweater Christmas Party. This party will be similar to the Green Room Social. It will be in the top café with music and food. ALL SGA will be in partnership for this event. Medicine Mixer This will take place November 29, 2017 at 5:30pm in the Grand Ballroom. Flyer will be sent by the end of the work week If you know any presidents in health-related organizations please contact the Secretary of Academic Affairs, Cayuna Williams, so that she may invite them to the event. (Point at Cayuna) Upcoming Legislative Appointments The Office of Governmental Relations has contacted SGA in efforts to get students to come to some of the appointments and meet their respective legislators. Please contact Arriona Tindell, Director of Student Lobbing for the schedule of these upcoming legislative appointments. (Point in Arriona direction) We would like for as many SGA and students to attend the appointment on behalf of the students and their perspectives.
