3 Message from the President of ASEAN ORL-HNS Federation To nourish the growth of ASEAN Integration, It is great pleasure and honor to welcome all ENT delegates to the 17 th ASEAN ORL-HNS Federation Congress which will be held during 3 rd week of November 2017 at Melia Yangon Hotel, Yangon, Myanmar. This Federation Congress will be the 1st ever congress that ENT Society Myanmar will host. By the way, we will make it one of the most impressive ENT meetings in the ASEAN Community, with amazing unity, opportunity to explore the knowledge, discussions and experiences for the bright sky of ASEAN Otolaryngologists-head and neck surgeons. The 17 th ASEAN ORL-HNS Federation Congress s theme is United and Concerted to Move Forward, which will push the level of cooperation of ASEAN society. This congress will provide the platform for ENT specialists to exchange their knowledge and experiences, technological evolution, innovations and new surgical technique for treatment of various ENT diseases, and for the best of our ASEAN citizen. The congress will highlight the special congress lecture, various symposiums, ASEAN country-wise forums, free academic papers which encourages progress and moving-forward of ENT specialists. We wish that all delegates will benefit from variety of scientific programs and enjoy social function during the meeting, while experience the EXOTIC Myanmar. 4 WELCOME TO GOLDEN LAND OF MYANMAR The 17 th ASEAN ORL HNS Congress will be held in Yangon, Myanmar on 16 th, 17 th and 18 th of November 2017 at Melia Yangon Hotel, Kaba Aye Pagoda road, Yangon, Myanmar. The Congress will be hosted by the Myanmar Society of Otorhinolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery, Yangon, Myanmar. It is my pleasure to welcome all Otorhinolaryngologists and Head and Neck surgeons from all member countries of ASEAN and also from all over the world. The Theme of the Congress is ASEAN ORL HNS: United and Concerted to Move Forward. The Theme essentially denotes Asian Value of Solidarity and working together to move forward for the progress of the specialty to attain the highest technology. The Scientific programs will consist of pre-conference hand-on workshops on the emerging high technology surgical techniques, Special high power opening lectures, plenary sections from the International Faculties and many academic presentations on all branches of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. The Debate section on the disputed subjects in ORL HNS will be exciting and lively. We encourage country-wise symposiums and Forums from the member countries to agitate more participations of the ASEAN community. You can learn recent advances in all branches of ORL HNS from international and ASEAN experts. Apart from scientific programs the delegates are given time for recreation and exploration of the miracles and wonders of Golden Myanmar. The Kyeikhtiyoe Pagoda (also called Goldern Rock), situated on top of the big stone which was detached from the mother granite is one of the wonders of the world. You should come and see yourself.
