Arr Jay Joquico, was invited by the Mayor of Legazpi City, the Hon. Noel E. Rosal, to join in the motorcade and opening program at Legazpi City Convention Center last July 3, Ar. BACORDO, AFP, COMMANDER NAVFORSOL Date July 4, 2017 Total Attendees 7 Venue NAVFORSOL, Rawis, Legazpi To coordinate for future joint activities Members of the UAP Legazpi Chapter board headed by its president, Ar. Arr Jay Joquico, did a courtesy call on Commodore Giovanni Carlo J. Bacordo, AFP, Commander, Naval Forces of Southern Luzon, last July 4, 2017 to talk about the possibility of having joint Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects that will benefit the community. 3 ACTIVITY NO.3 1 st BOARD MEETING Date July 7, 2017 Total Attendees 19 Venue Bob Marlin, Legazpi City To discuss chapter concerns and activities for the month of July Type of Activity GMM Seminar Socio-Civic Board Meeting The chapter board held its first meeting last July 7, 2017 to discuss concerns and activities of the chapter for the month of July. Included in the agenda were: District B5 turn-over ceremonies and joint chapter induction of officers and new members; food sharing at Ibalon Central School; 40 th anniversary celebration. 4 ACTIVITY NO.4 COMMITTEE HEARING WITH CITY COUNCILOR Total Attendees 6 Venue Follow up on lot allocation by the city government Date July 13, 2017 Type of Activity GMM Seminar Socio-Civic Meeting Sangguniang Panlungsod Executive Room, City Hall UAPLC has long been an active partner of the City Government of Legazpi and because of this partnership Hon. Mayor Noel E. Rosal, promised a lot within the city that will serve as the chapter s headquarters. The Committee on Laws and Rules, chaired by Atty. Melissa Abadeza-Armedilla conducted a committee hearing last July 13, 2017 to discuss the referred matter from the Office of the Mayor during the 20 th Regular Session held on June 19, 2017 for a lot allocation, on usufruct basis only, at Barangay Bitano, Legazpi City. 5 ACTIVITY NO.5 1 st GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING Date July 14, 2017 Total Attendees 69 Venue Kanzo Hall, Legazpi City To inform the members of what transpired during the 1 st board meeting and present the activities for approval. The 1 st General Membership Meeting of UAPLC held last June 14, 2017 at Kanzo Hall was well attended. This included the 22 new members to be inducted. Discussed were: Final Treasurer s report of presented by Maureen Sia, the outgoing treasurer; District B5 Turn-over Ceremonies and Joint Induction of Officers and New Members presented by the chapter president Arr Jay Joquico; food sharing at Ibalon Central School presented by Ramon Aycardo Jr. in behalf of activity chair Freedom Rayco; and updates on the 40 th Chapter Anniversary presented by activity chair Maridel Baldano. 6 ACTIVITY NO.6 REVALIDA: CITY S VISION ALIGNED CIRCLES Date July 26-28, 2017 Total Attendees 2 Venue ICR, City Hall Compound, Legazpi City invited by the City Government as evaluator of the progress report of the City s Vision Aligned Circles (VACs) Chapter President Arr Jay Joquico was invited as evaluator for the Revalida of the City s Vision Aligned Circles (VACs) from July 26 to 28, 2017 at the ICR, City Hall Compound, Legazpi City. Each VAC, consisting of 5 to 10 members from the different units of the city, was to report on the progress of their respective initiatives. 7 ACTIVITY NO.7 FOOD SHARING PROGRAM AT IBALON CENTRAL SCHOOL, LEGAZPI CITY Date July 28, 2017 Total Attendees 15 Venue Ibalon Central School, Legazpi Corporate social responsibility As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the UAPLC conducted a food sharing program at Ibalon Central School in line with the 43 rd celebration of the Nutrition Month. The school have previously identified 54 under nourished pupils who will be the beneficiaries of the food sharing program. Considering that these pupils were under nourished, the chapter president Arr Jay Joquico coordinated with doctors from Ago Medical and Educational Center (AMEC), to donate medicines and essential vitamins and to facilitate the distribution thereof. 8 ACTIVITY NO.8 DISTRICT B5 TURN-OVER CEREMONIES AND JOINT INDUCTION OF OFFICERS AND NEW MEMBERS Date July 29, 2017 Total Attendees 66 Venue Villa Caceres, Naga City Induction of officers and new members Type of Activity GMM Seminar Socio-Civic Joint Induction The District B5 Turn-over Ceremonies and Joint Induction of Officers and New Members for fiscal year was held last July 29, 2017 at Villa Caceres in Naga City. District B5 was honoured by the presence of no less than the Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines, Hon. Maria Leonor Gerona Robredo. The Mayor of Naga, Hon. John G. Bongat, though a bit late, also came to deliver his welcome message to the attendees. It was made most memorable by the presence of the top three officers of the United Architects of the Philippines: Ar. Guilliermo Hisancha, FUAP, AA. APEC AR, the national president; Ar. Benjamin K. Panganiban, FUAP, AA, APEC AR, the national executive vice president; and Ar. Rene Heray, FUAP, AA, APEC AR, the secretary-general. It is with great pride that the Area B VP Ar. Reynaldo S. Acosta, FUAP is from UAP Legazpi Chapter who led the charging of the new officers. The chapter officers and new members were inducted by Ar. Guillermo Hisancha.
