6 REQUIREMENTS Applicants must be a current Bachelors or Masters student in good standing Applicants must have at least one academic year remaining in a graduate program at the time of application. Organized, responsive, efficient and responsible. Willing to commit to a busy term to work on behalf of the needs and interests of Psi Chi and Psi Chi members.

Prepare 2-3 minute speech demonstrating why you are the best candidate for the position Benefits Learn leadership skills Enhance your CV Strengthen Resume Skills Employers Seek Be actively involved in campus and the International Honor Society

8 ELECTED POSITIONS President Are you organized, enjoy leading and planning events? Be a role model Lead membership by defining and pursuing the goals and objectives of the chapter. Oversee all activities while maintaining the timeline Delegate responsibilities to other officers and members so that all members are involved in committees and/or activities. Find out what resources are available locally and Society-wide. Keep a list of objectives with dates and deadlines. Establish regular meeting times for the entire chapter, and officers and advisors. Plan fund-raising functions.

9 ELECTED POSITIONS Vice-President Are you ambitious and a team leader? Take over the presidents' duties when the president is absent Reserve rooms Participate in meeting planning Arrange food for meetings Oversee banquet preparations Send thank-you to speakers that attend our meetings Support chairs of chapter committees as needed. Assist the secretary in preparing a brief report of chapter activities to send to the Central Office each year.

10 ELECTED POSITIONS Treasurer Are you a meticulous record keeper and financially savvy? Attend yearly ASI CSU recognition meeting Arrange for vouchers, reimbursements, etc Collect and deposit membership checks Maintaining concise financial records Participate in meeting planning Verify information concerning Psi Chi funds, deposits, and accounts. Establish a working budget with your chapter. Pay all bills promptly. Report to the chapter on a regular basis, including an end-of-the-year report.

Take minutes for meetings Maintain member list Provide minutes to students as requested Participate in meeting planning Take and record the minutes of each meeting. Keep a list of all committees of the chapter. Maintain all records of the chapter. Notify all members and advisors of the place and time of meetings, elections, inductions, and other chapter activities.

Photographer Take and develop pictures Designing meeting materials Maintaining social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, etc) Maintain a visual record of Psi Chi Select and send photos to the national office and webmaster Participate in meeting planning

Order certificates for new members Maintain working list of addresses of all active chapter members Engage in active correspondence with members Track incoming applications and maintain records Assist all board members in their respective duties

Create and maintain records Assist all board members in their respective duties Serve as a primary liaison between the campus and chapter Actively seek new opportunities for engagement on campus and in the community Participate in planning meetings
