1 PRESENT: APOLOGIES: DISTRIBUTION: Refer to Attendance Refer to Attendance Register EXCO Minutes of the meeting: # Description Note 1 Opening and welcome The Chairman opened the Meeting and welcomed the members of the RPA to the General Meeting The Chairman thanked the Members for attending the General Meeting A quorum is established and the meeting continues The Chairman asked for a minute of silence to pay respect to the passing of Bessie Appelcryn 2 Register The Members were asked to sign the Register and also indicate on the Register the names of the Members that gave their apologies 3 Purpose of the meeting The purpose of the meeting is to gain approval from the Members for the Club s expenditure for the past quarter 4 Previous minutes The Minutes of the previous General Meeting, 19 November 2013 was made available to the Members The Chairman asked for a proposal that the minutes be accepted as a true reflection of the meeting Proposed: George Viljoen Seconded by: Tony Wardle The Meeting was in agreement with the decision 5 New matters arising from Previous Meetings 6 Communication 6.1 Correspondence Incoming The Chairman requested that the matter of the RPA security be discussed under the General Section of the Meeting No other matters arose at time of acceptance All incoming correspondence should be directed to: The Secretary P.O. Box Helderkruin 1733 No Correspondence pertaining to the Meeting 6.2 Correspondence No Correspondence pertaining to the Meeting Outgoing 7 Finance The Chairman read out the expenditure from November 2013 to end February 2014 The Chairman invited the meeting to view the vouchers and documentation pertinent to the expenditure after the meeting The Chairman asked for a proposal that the vouchers be accepted by the meeting Proposed: Tony Wardle Seconded by: Greg Green 1

2 # Description Note The Meeting was in agreement with the decision to accept the vouchers 8 Angling Sections 8.1 Bank Section No feedback given 8.2 Carp Angling Section No feedback given 8.3 Feeder Section No feedback given 8.4 Fly Fishing Section No feedback given 8.5 LTB Section No feedback given 8.6 Specimen Section No feedback given 8.7 Social Section No feedback given 8.8 Membership Section No feedback given 9 General 9.1 AGM 2014 The Provincial AGM was held on 02 November 2013 The following RPA members were elected into the Provincial Management Team o Eric Kichenbrand Chairman o Johan Kruger Junior Representative o Mike Kirby Feeder Representative o Arno de Blom Carp Representative o Arno de Blom Conservation Officer o Manie Botha Athlete Representative The Chairman congratulated the members and wished the well with their new positions RPA Prize-giving 2014 The RPA prize giving is scheduled for the 31st of May 2014 at the Italian Club in Boksburg RPA Security The Chairman explains the current position at SOV regarding the break-ins; On 23/02/2014 Mr Babich asked permission to let Secret Eye Response Services Armed Response unit react to their alarm on SOV; The Chairman expressed her concern over the response unit having open access to the Farm; The Chairman proposed that the RPA employed a permanent security guard from Secret Eye on the Farm and quoted the figure from the Armed Response company; Mrs Babich committed to talk to her insurance company and find out if the Roboguard System is an approved system with insurance companies; Mr Babich committed to getting Secret Eye Security at the Farm and together with the Company and A de Blom discuss alternatives with the Roboguard system 10 Closure The Chairman closed the meeting at 12h15 11 Next Meeting: Date / Time / Venue: To be advised 2
