It shows your professionalism and that all of you truly care! I also want to thank the voters of Putnam County for participating in the process by casting their votes. All of our efforts together make Putnam County one of the best places to vote in the State. As we approach the time many take vacations, I hope everyone will have a wonderful and safe summer. Long Elem. Kindra Carter - Hillcrest Academy Sarahann Josiah - Crescent City Jr/Sr High C.J. Prescott - Peniel Baptist Academy Over 750 Putnam County students participated in this year s annual student picture contest. Student elections were conducted at 14 local schools. The student s pictures were voted on by their peers. The winners from each school (27 total) were sent to the fair and voted on again by fair-goers. Over 1,100 ballots were cast at the fair. Artemis Eidson, Kindra Carter, Sarahann Josiah and C.J. Prescott all won 1st place at the fair in their grade level division. These winners were awarded a $200 cash prize and their artwork will be permanently displayed in the early voting room. Please remember to check out all of the student s artwork that decorates the early voting room next time you early vote.
