10 An Approach based on the Identification of Training Needs Taking into account the strategic guidelines and reforms set up by the Ministry of the Interior The second Edition of the Catalog training scheme for TC ( ) includes gender approach for Elected Officials and Civil Servants Identifying the needs of local women holding functions in the elected councils, through a Survey given on 25 January 2010 Performing a diagnosis participation about the involvement of local elected women in local management, July-October 2010, in partnership with USAID Conducting a field survey on the Consultative Commission of parity and equal opportunities, in partnership with USAID and CIDA Consideration of requests from TC Taking into account the comments included in the Reports of the Court of Accounts Use of evaluation forms

42 Results Around 10,000 women have benefited from one or more activities initiated by the DFCAT (local elected and civil servent women) Several Success Stories A President of an African town, REFELA member, has applied to the Presidential Election in his Country Election of several women in the parliament of Morocco, Africa and the Arab World Appointment to the Economic, Social and Environmental council. Strengthened leadership: self-confidence, esteem, courage, determination Initiation and completion of projects by women beneficiaries of training programs

43 Impact Enhancing the mandate of the local elected women and local public employment The integration of a gender perspective at the local level is gradually becoming a concrete reality The involvement and mobilization of women The political and administrative landscape at local level begins to get used to the presence, participation and involvement of women (men participate in training activities with great interest) The impact on Local Governance The impact on the development of the country: mobilization of hotels, transportation, printing, caterers... The Strategic Plan was presented to the UN / Session of the Committee of Experts of Public Administration and to the Economic and Social Council - April 2012 Recognition of USAID, in October 2010, for the Training and capacity building of local elected women The Directorate was admitted in 2011 as a member of two major World Networks: The International Institute of Administrative Sciences (IIAS) and the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IASIA) whose seats are in Brussels Is often asked to support African countries in terms of training for the benefit of local communities The Department offers, in addition, several letters of appreciation and thanks from either local politicians or human resources of local governments, either providers or partners.
