Communication from the Commission to the European Parliament and the Council Reform of the administrative structure of the European Schools COM(2018)0152 The Coordinators decided to invite the Commission to a Coordinators meeting before the summer break with a view to discuss the reform of the administrative structure of the European Schools and consider potential action Proposal for a Council recommendation on access to social protection for workers and the self-employed 2018/0059(NLE) COM(2018)0132, SWD(2018)0070, SWD(2018)0071, SWD(2018)0079 The Coordinators decided not to take any further action. 2. Petition for opinion The Coordinators decided to ask for additional information and clarification from PETI on the thrust of the petition n 0224/2017 in order to be able to provide an informed opinion and to consider potential further action. Chair s announcements The Coordinators: heard the Chair a) report about the high-level conference on European Cultural Heritage under the aegis of EP President Antonio TAJANI being scheduled for 26 June 2018 (14:00-19:00), b) explain that the suggestions of CULT as regards the programme of the event have been taken on board, and c) encourage Members to save the date in their agenda; heard the Chair inform about the state of play of CULT missions in 2018 and the cancellation of the planned mission to Leeuwarden due to lack of participating Members, and decided to entrust the Chair with exploring the possibility of revising the modalities for the organisation of future Committee missions; heard the Chair inform about the general programme for the EP Presidency of the Parliamentary Assembly Union for the Mediterranean being available, and decided to invite all CULT Members to seek active involvement in specific activities at their own discretion; heard the Chair report about a request for the organisation of a European Comedy Summit in the premises of the European Parliament in 2018, and decided to endorse that request and inform the EP President accordingly. 4. CULT Public hearings in the 2nd half of 2018: Proposals for experts The Coordinators approved the deadline of Friday, 4 May 2018, 12:00, for political groups to propose experts for the CULT public hearings in the second half of 2018 on the European Agenda for Culture (11 July) and Education in the Digital Era (24 September) and to suggest two questions to be addressed to the experts in advance of the hearings. 5. Structured Dialogue: CULT contribution to Summary Report 2018 The Coordinators agreed with the proposed timetable for the CULT input to the EP Summary Report 2018 and approved the deadline of Thursday, 3 May 2018, close of business, for political groups to provide concise input to the CULT Secretariat (max. half a page, resolution style). New financial programmes: strategic priorities and approach for CULT The Coordinators discussed the CULT strategic priorities as regards the forthcoming new financial programmes and decided to entrust the Chair with communicating to Commission First Vice-President Timmermans the need for a better resourced and, crucially, stand-alone Creative Europe programme in the next MFF. 7. Motion for a resolution and Miscellaneous reports and communications The Coordinators took note of the following Motions for a resolution and Miscellaneous reports and communications received for information, deciding not to take any action at this stage.
