3 13 th December 2010 Meeting venue: Ufficio del Rettorato - Università degli Studi di Napoli L Orientale, Via Chiatamone 61/62 - Naples Seminar Starting: h Registration of the participants Introduction: h Prof. Massimo Galli SUNFLOWER s Scientific Coordinator (ANLAIDS Sez. Lombarda) opened the Final conference by introducing the programme of the day and thanking the local Authorities, External Experts and Partners participating in the meeting. A welcome to the participants was made by Carmine Falanga SUNFLOWER s Project Manager. He gave the floor to Mrs. Imma Pempinello of the President ANLAIDS Campania - welcomed the participants and she briefly presented the organisation the she is managing. The Local Authorities welcomed the participants with a presentation of the city and wished to the participants to enjoy their staying in Timisoara. Participants presentations Chaired by: Carmine Falanga h Prof. Massimo Galli presented to the participants the HIV/AIDS Italian situation, in particular, he described the evolution and the challenges faced in the last thirty years. Prof. Galli presented to the participants the available data about the HIV/AIDS cases in the Lombardy Region, Milan City and some national data. Q: Maria Rita Parisi asked to the Prof. Galli, how is the target group most at risk of infection in Italy A: MSM and Young People Q:Anna Millerova asked, how is the number of HIV+ that received the HAART in the Lombardy Region A: About people per year Chaired by: Prof. Massimo Galli h Carmine Falanga presented to the participants the SUNFLOWER project, in particular he retraced all the project implementation (work-packages overview), the achieved objectives and the deliverables. Q: none h Partners presentations Each project partner made a presentation (lasting about 15 minutes) about: Activities Done/Processes engaged with the implementation of the SUNFLOWER prevention campaign Presentation of the local partners involved in the implementation of the prevention campaign in each participating country SUNFLOWER Pre-Post-test Results 3

IVN: Camelia Sultana 11. ANLAIDS Sez. Lombarda: Carmine Falanga h Lunch Chaired by: Carmine Falanga h Maria Rita Parisi presented to the participants the initiative EASY TEST. EASY TEST is an Italian project dealing with the HIV/AIDS testing and prevention. The project is promoting the oral-fluid test (quick test) for HIV/AIDS in Italy. In particular the project aimed to reach the people at high risk of infection (drug users, immigrants and MSM). Ms. Parisi presented: the project methodology and tools; the data collected in the last two years ( ). Ms. Parisi presented to the partners the possibility to share the project s knowledge with the project partners and to submit a new project proposal integrating the SUNFLOWER experience in the prevention with the EASY TEST experience in the testing. Q:Ventzislav Kirkov asked, who does finance the project? A: The Lombardy Region, Municipality of Milan and the Ministry of Health Q:Simon Cordon asked, if the test is repeated in case of positive result A: Yes, we suggest to repeat the blood test for a cross checking. h Anna Marzec-Bogusławska presented to the participants the HIV/AIDS infection in Central and Eastern Europe. She presented the data about the HIV/AIDS in Poland and main facts and selected issues. h Dolores Forgione as H-CUBE Project Coordinator presented to the partner this initiative and highlighted how is important for the SUNFLOWER partners to be constantly updated on the H-CUBE implementation, in particular, about the e- learning courses validated and promoted by the project. She also stressed that the issue of HIV/AIDS prevention among young people in the New EU Members States, tackled by both SUNFLOWER and H-CUBE projects, allowed the participants to share data and good practices identified during the projects implementation as common ground of work and in the future. 4
5 h Rosanna De Vito presented to the participant her experience as teacher actively involved in the fight against HIV/AIDS in Naples. In particular, she presented how is fundamental the Sexual Relationship Education in the school s curricula. Mrs. De Vito stressed the role of young people that are crucial to the improvement of sexual health in general. They need to know about sexuality in terms of both risk and enrichment, in order to develop a positive and responsible attitude towards it. Young people need both informal and formal sexuality education complementing each other. According to her experience, Sexuality education should try to observe the following points: Systematic youth participation. Interactive way. Delivered in a continuous way. Multisectorial setting. Context-oriented and pays due attention to the needs of the learners. Cooperation with parents and community. Gender responsiveness to ensure that different gender needs and concerns are adequately addressed. Q:Eva Jilkova asked, how many hours of sexual education have been planned in her school? A: 4 hours for each class-room per year. h Coffee break h Antonio Buonomo presented to the participants the data about the HIV/AIDS infection in Naples and the most recent prevention initiatives. In particular, he presented a prevention campaign called The prevention squares that consist in the organisation of prevention day with a mobile unit to test people. Pre- Post counselling and the dissemination of information. h Carmine Falanga presented to the participants the guidelines how to prepare all the supporting documents to submit the Final Report to the EAHC. A: Radosveta Stamenkova asked how to report the travels of the persons not mentioned as staff. Q: In the Other costs section. Q: Jana Kollarova asked what about the budget savings? A: Only the new costs approved by EAHC will be considered eligible. Chaired by: Dolores Forgione h Carmine Falanga and Maria Rita presented to the participants the project idea called EASY PROJECT combining the SUNFLOWER experience in prevention, H-CUBE experience in learning and EASY TEST experience in testing. All the partners appreciated the idea and expressed their favourable opinion to submit this new project proposal under the next available call for proposal Close of meeting Carmine Falanga brought the meeting to a close. 5

Tenca Milan (Italy) an Italian Young people participated in the preparation of the prevention campaign material, presented to the participants her experience in Milan with other Young People coming from all the participating countries and the material realized by Young People for the prevention campaign. h Coffe-break h Katsiaryna Lialiuk and Marco Benedetto Istituto E. P. Fonseca Napoli presented to the participants their experience with the SUNFLOWER prevention campaign implemented in their school on October h Margherita Errico - National Secretary NPS Italy Onlus and Pres. NPS Sez. Campania and Annamaria Ajello Teacher "Istituto professionale di stato per i servizi commerciali e turistici Giustino Fortunato" presented to the participants the collaboration between NPS Italia and the Young Student in Campania for the fight against HIV/AIDS. h Carmine Falanga chaired the SUNFLOWER Closing Ceremony thanking all the partners for their commitment toward SUNFLOWER project and the partners support.
