Known for his impeccable research and inspiring leadership, he is a professor at Queen s University and former director of its School of Policy Studies. Under his stewardship, the School has become one of our nation s pre-

3 eminent institutions in this field. He has written and published extensively on numerous contemporary issues, including income security, federalism, health policy and comparative politics.
