1 Freedom of Information Request Reference No: I note you seek access to the following information: 1. I would appreciate it if you would consider disclosing a copy of the current Restricted Duties Policy/SOP in use in the MPS. If there is a more recent version in draft or consultation, could you provide a copy or advise me as to when I can apply for a copy under FOIA. 2. Also could you please provide me with the following: The number of police officers currently on restricted duties in the MPS. Could you provide the number who have been on restricted duties for: Less than one year 1 to 2 years 2-5 years 5-10 years 10 years or more. I am only interested in details of restrictions on medical grounds, not 'management decision' reasons. Decision I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full. Question 1 MPS 'Restricted Duties' guidance formerly included officers that were not able to fulfil their full role either for medical or 'management decision' reasons. There is currently no MPS 'Restricted Duties' Policy or SOP in place however the MPS Attendance Management Policy which supersedes this specifically deals with medically restricted officers and is available on the internet via the following link: The MPS Attendance Management Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) which deals with the management of sickness absence including recuperative and restricted duties is also available on the internet via the following link: pdf. There is a new Limited Duties SOP that is currently in development and will be available on the MPS Publication Scheme in approximately 3 months.
