Authorities looking for Lincolnton man charged with child sexual assault The Lincoln County Sheriff s Department is looking for a man they say is charged with sexually assaulting a minor. Jose Manuel Palafox Vasquez, 25, of Lincolnton, has been charged with one felony count of rape/sex act with a person 13, 14, or 15 years old by a defendant at least six years older than the victim, officials said. Warrants were issued Thursday for Vasquez, who also goes by the alias of Cristian Aponte Rivera, the sheriff s office said. The charge against Vasquez came Tuesday, after the parents of a 14-year-old female came to the sheriff s office to report the incident that happened at their home in late February. Vasquez was known by the family through their church, officials said. Vasquez was last seen on Monday at the RSI Plant in Maiden where he works, driving a green, four-door 1995 Toyota Corolla, according to the sheriff s office. The license plate is North Carolina ADS-5194.

3 10. Pender man charged with indecent liberties with boy A Pender County man was arrested in connection to two sex crimes involving a boy under the age of five. Carlos Martinez, 39, has been charged with 1st degree sexual offense of a child and indecent liberties with a child. Detectives working the case said the incident happened the day before Mother's Day. They said Martinez was a friend of the victim's family. Martinez was originally only charged with indecent liberties with the child, but upon further investigation, detectives also charged him with 1st degree sexual offense of the child. 11. Charged with: INDEC EXPOSURE DEF>=18 VIC< Police arrest Raleigh man, 37, on indecent liberties charge RALEIGH Raleigh police have charged a 37-year-old man with two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child that they said happened between last June and March 1 this year. Isidoro Patricio Hernandez of 4100 Deep Hollow in Raleigh also was charged with having missed two court dates in 2005 for several traffic charges. An arrest warrant that listed two counts of the indecent liberties charge said the child was under 16 years old, but police did not give the child s actual age or gender. Hernandez, who was arrested Wednesday night after questioning, was held in lieu of $206,000 bail. 13.
