Venue The Fourth Meeting of Ministers and High Authorities on Science and Technology will be held in Guatemala City, Guatemala, on March 10 and 11, The venue will be the Plata Room at Hotel Camino Real Guatemala, which is located at Calle Camino Real 0-20, Zona 10, Guatemala City. 2. (502) ext 128 / Arrival at the airport The Government of Guatemala will dispatch protocol personnel to greet official country delegates at La Aurora International Airport. Those officials may use the protocol lounge. However, any advisers or other subordinate staff traveling with them will not have access to the protocol lounge. Transportation The Government of Guatemala will provide transportation for official delegates of countries to and from the airport and the three aforementioned hotels. Requirements for entering and leaving the country Appendix 2 contains information about countries whose nationals need a visa to enter Guatemala and the relevant application requirements. The information may be corroborated at the web site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guatemala: 3

Accreditation Official country delegations should send their letters of accreditation by no later than March 2, 2015, to: Aryanne Quintal Competitiveness, Innovation, and Technology Section Department of Economic Development Organization of American States 8. Registration Registration of all participants, including ministers and high authorities, observers, experts, and special guests should be done at the web page of the event: Late registration and the handing out of IDs will take place in the accreditation area at the entrance to the Plata Room of Hotel Westin Camino Real on Tuesday, March 10, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For security reasons, participants will be required to wear their IDs at all times during all sessions. 9. Working languages and documents The working meetings of the Fourth Meeting of Ministers and High Authorities on Science and Technology will be conducted in the official languages of the Organization: Spanish, English, French, and Portuguese, for all of which simultaneous interpretation will be provided. Since greening measures will be in effect and the printing of documents will be limited, participants are requested to keep their documents during all meetings. 5 13. Security The Government of Guatemala will provide the necessary security for all official activities related to this meeting. 14. Medical assistance First aid services will be available at the meeting venue. Any other medical expenses must be defrayed by the participant. 15. Weather The weather in March is usually sunny, with temperatures ranging between 13 and 27 degrees Celsius. 16. Tourism information We suggest visiting the website which is available in Spanish and English and provides comprehensive information about Guatemala, including tourist destinations, should you wish to arrive before the event or extend your stay beyond it to enjoy the country of eternal springtime and cradle of the Maya culture.
