1 IN BRIEF Iva Pushkarova, PhD, teaches Criminal and International Criminal Law at the Sofia University and Criminal Law at the Ministry of Interior Academy. She is a legal and case-law researcher with numerous publications on organized crime, human trafficking, sexual exploitation, violent crime, juvenile crime, discrimination, crimerelated risk-factors, etc. Iva Pushkarova has extensive experience in developing and managing projects, all related to justice system and Judiciary. In the past 9 years she had been affiliated both in expert and management capacity with the implementing organizations (among which Bulgarian Judges Association, the World Bank, Penal Reform International). Iva Pushkarova also specialized history at the Sofia University and English and EU law at the Cambridge University.
