Her research addresses how citizenship is changing as a result of migration. She has conducted research in Australia, Canada, China, Myanmar and Singapore. Her current research focuses on two areas: ageing, transnationalism and care in the Asia- Pacific, and border mobilities between Myanmar and China. Dr Ho is Editor of the journal, Social and Cultural Geography, and Section Editor of the International Encyclopedia of Human Geography (2 nd edition to be published in 2020). She serves on the editorial boards of Citizenship Studies, Emotions, Society and Space, and the Singapore Journal of Tropical Geography. She was an ARI associate previously and commenced a joint appointment (ARI and Geography) from 1 June During her time at ARI she will be carrying out research on ageing, transnationalism and care.
