8 Project Purpose: To raise the professional skills of previously experienced juvenile police officers who will conduct the programme at schools To promote community policing, regional police work and activities of police related to crime prevention. To enhance co-operation between the police and schools. To distribute legal knowledge and necessary information (for example about various risk groups) among children.
9 What do children win with this - Friends in Blue project? - a folder for study materials - 12 different worksheets with themes - a lot of knowledge about legislation - different presents - enlargement of their world outlook - skills of adequate behaviour in angerous situation and how to avoid them
10 What do the POLICE win? - the children obey laws considerably better - criminality rate of children will decrease - dissemination of information to children and getting new information from children
11 Future: Working for effective prevention today we will avoid crime tomorrow. Considering the situation today and high percentage of crimes committed by children and youth this particular project is a great support for schools at solving problems of children, diminishing the number of criminal cases and bringing school and police closer to each other in the name of social cohesion.
