5 Research fields: My current research centers on psychological effects of war on people who were displaced as result of war, more specifically I study the impact of war on the Syrian refugees in the United States and Jordan. I am also conducting research is centered on immigration and the formation of identity of different immigrant groups. I am interested in the differences in the immigration policies between different regime types (authoritarian regimes, developed and transitional democracies) and in the challenges the movement of persons across borders (in the form of legal, illegal and forced migration) can bring for the international security.
