1 Background: European Judicial Training Network Réseau Européen de Formation Judiciaire Exchange Programme for Judicial Authorities (2019) SPECIALISED EXCHANGES CALL FOR APPLICATIONS In 2015, the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) launched specialised exchanges in the areas of competition law, environmental law, labour law, refugee law and mediation in cooperation with the Association of European Competition Law Judges, the European Association of Judges for Mediation, the European Association of Labour Court Judges, the European Union Forum of Judges for the Environment, the European Network of Prosecutors for the Environment, the International Association of Refugee Law Judges and the Association of European Administrative Judges. Thanks to the support of EJTN Member and partner institutions, the number of offered specialisations has been further extended in 2016, 2017 and In 2019, exchanges will be offered in 17 different areas of law. Format: Target group: judges/prosecutors specialised in at least one area of law offered in the call; Length: 5 working days; Language: language of the host country or lingua franca; Period: the exchanges will have to take place in the course of 2019, and not later than 31 December Topics: Exchanges are offered in the following areas of law: Anti-corruption; Asylum-Refugee law; Banking law; Company law; Competition law; Counter-Terrorism; Environmental law; Family law; Financial crime; Intellectual Property Law; Juvenile law; Labour law; Mediation;
2 Organised Crime; Patent Law; Sentence Enforcement; Tax law. Details about the number of available places, the host countries, working languages and topics can be found in the online application form to the EJTN Exchange Programme: Financial conditions: Specialised exchanges will be governed by the financial rules of the EJTN Exchange Programme. Each participant will receive a per diem for his/her subsistence expenses during the stay abroad and will be reimbursed their travel expenses from the court/prosecutor s office of origin to the visited court/prosecutor s office in conformity with the financial rules laid down in the Practical Guide to the Exchange Programme Evaluation: After the exchange, all participants will be requested to draft a report on the exchange and to fill in the Exchange Programme online evaluation form. Application procedure: The call for applications is disseminated through the national contacts points of the EJTN Exchange Programme in the EU MS, relevant associations and network of specialised judges/prosecutors as well as on the EJTN website. Interested specialised judges/prosecutors are invited to apply online through the EJTN Exchange Programme platform: The list of available places per country, specialisation and working language can be found in the online application form. The selection of participants to the EJTN Exchange Programme is the sole prerogative of EJTN s Member organisations. The deadline for applications is 14 December With financial support from the Justice Programme of the European Union
