1 Business Visa Requirements Non US Passport Business Visa Qualifications Non US Citizen Business visas are granted to those who wish to visit for business and trade purposes. The following are a few examples for qualifying for a business visa: meetings, participation in exhibitions, trade fair, training, establishing business or industrial venture. A) Passport You will need to provide your PHYSICAL valid passport. Your passport must meet the following Consulate guidelines to be eligible for a visa. 1) The Passport MUST be signed. 2) Your Passport MUST have (2) blank visa pages that are adjacent to each other. Amendment pages are not recognized as visa pages. Please contact a TPAVC agent if you do not have ample visa pages, we can assist. 3) The Passport MUST have at least six months of remaining validity from date of entry into. 4) Please be advised that your passport should be undamaged. Passports should be free of fraying, tears, damage to the credential page and pages that have been separated from the binding. B) n Visa On-Line Application 1) Please visit to complete your online visa application. Your application MUST be completed online and then printed. Be advised that you will sign your signature on both pages of your application. Page one please sign your name in the small rectangular box in the top right hand corner and at the bottom right corner of page two. Your signature will need to resemble the signature in your passport. 2) The application should be printed on two separate sheets of paper, no front to back print out will be accepted. 3) Provide the applicant s information for visa processing. All fields must be acknowledged, do not leave any sections blank. Any fields that do not apply to the applicant you MUST insert N/A to that field. 4) You MUST list the applicant s name EXACTLY how it appears in your passport. If the passport lists the applicant s middle name or suffix you will need to include it on the application. IMPORTANT: The applicant s permanent address listed on the applicants driver s license must match the address listed on the proof of residency portion of the application. (Section D). 1

2 Business Visa Requirements Non US Passport C) Passport Size Photographs You will need to provide (2) two passport-sized photographs. Photo requirements: 1) Identical, taken within the last six months showing your current appearance 2) Color Photo 3) Full face, front view with a plain white or off-white background. 4) 2x2 Passport sized between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head. 5) n visa photos MUST be taken WITHOUT glasses or your application or your application will be rejected. D) Proof of Residency You must provide one of the following as proof of residency. 1) A copy of the applicant s valid Driver s License 2) A recent original utility bills no more than three months old. The applicant s name MUST be listed on the bill. 3) A clear copy of your valid lease. The lease MUST be signed by both the land lord and the tenant. 2

3 Business Visa Requirements Non US Passport E) Business Letter of Financial Guarantee Provide an Original, Business Letter from your current employer or sponsoring company in the United States. Faxed or scans of the business letter will not be accepted. This letter MUST: 1) Be on your company letterhead stationery listing your company s complete contact information (address, telephone/fax numbers, ) and signed by a senior manager. 2) Be addressed to: The Consulate General of 3) Must address the name of the applicant exactly how it is written in their passport. 4) State the nature of business of the U.S. Company and list the applicant s title and/or the role with the company. 5) List the anticipated dates to be traveled to. 6) Specify the duration of the visa that is being requested. 7) List detailed information concerning the nature of business to be conducted in and provide a Financial Guarantee for the traveler. 8) Provide the Name, the Company, and the Address of the Company in along with the Contact(s) name(s), address, and phone number(s). F) Letter of Invitation Provide a Letter of Invitation from the company in that you will be visiting. The Letter MUST: 1) Be on Company Letterhead Stationary and signed by a senior manager. The invitation letter must bear the company s seal. 2) Be addressed to: The Consulate General of. 3) Address applicant by their full name as listed in their passport, as well as, providing their gender, date of birth, passport number and expiration date, and their position within the company. 4) State the nature of the trip 5) Specify the duration of the visa that is being requested. 6) Include the Company name and the Address of the Company in along with the Contact(s) name(s), address, and phone number(s). 3

4 Business Visa Requirements Non US Passport G) Legal Status in the United States If you are a non-us citizen, then you must provide a copy of one of the following documents: 1) Notarized copy of your permanent resident card, both front and back. 2) An employment authorization card or a copy of your valid US visa. H) Proof of Travel Copy of your Flight Itinerary 1) Your itinerary must show the applicant s name and the dates to be travelled in & round trip travel. I) Government Fees Government fees must be paid by money order.
