1 BOARD OF REGENTS, STATE OF IOWA REGULATORY PLAN FISCAL YEAR 2018 Executive Order Number 9 requires each state agency to submit an annual Regulatory Plan detailing foreseeable rulemaking for the upcoming fiscal year. The regulatory objectives of the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, include the following: Adoption of rules that demonstrate public accountability and effective stewardship Adoption of rules consistent with the Board s mission, vision, core values and culture as detailed in the Board Strategic Plan for Adoption of rules only after public comments are solicited and considered Adoption of rules that are clear and understandable to constituents The administrative rules of the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, are reviewed regularly and generally are not amended unless a specific need arises either through Board action or legislation. 3 AMENDMENTS TO SECTION 681 IN FY 2013 INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Chapter(s) Summary of changes 2 These amendments update and clarify various admission requirements for the state universities. The period for receiving public comment relative to these amendments closed on August 14, No comments were received. Representatives of the Board appeared before the Administrative Rules Review Committee on August 14, 2012 and were asked to further review the noticed rules and return to the ARRC at its next meeting. After further discussion by the representatives from the three universities, it was determined to not continue with the filing.
