1 RESOLUTION NO. 03-CB-01 RESOLUTION CANVASSING VOTES AND DECLARING RESULTS OF ELECTION AND ABSTRACT OF VOTES IN REGARD TO THE APRIL 1, 2003 ELECTION BE IT RESOLVED by the Canvassing Board of the Village of Oak Lawn, Cook County, Illinois, as follows: SECTION 1: On the 1 51 day of April 2003, an election was held in and for the Village of Oak Lawn for the purposes of electing three (3) Trustees from Districts 1, 3 and 5, each to serve a fouryear term, together with two (2) Village Library Trustees each to serve a six-year term. SECTION 2: That pursuant to 10 ILCS 5/22-17, the following Canvassing Board 1s constituted to canvass the results of the elections: Ernest F. Kolb, Village President A. Jayne Powers, Village Clerk Ronald M. Stancik, Village Trustee SECTION 3: That the election has been regularly called and held as provided by law and the returns of the election have been filed with the Village Clerk and are now before the Canvassing Board and it is familiar therewith. SECTION 4: The Canvassing Board finds from a canvass of the returns of the election that votes were cast in each of the precincts as set forth on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. SECTION 5: The Canvassing Board finds that the following named persons received the number of votes set opposite their names for the following offices, and that such shall be its abstract of votes for such election as required by law: A. Jerry Hurckes has been elected as Village Trustee of District No. 1 of the Village of Oak Lawn for a term of four years; B. ROBERT J. STREIT has been elected as Village Trustee of District No. 3 of the Village of Oak Lawn for a term of four years; C. Marjorie Ann Joy has been elected as Village Trustee of District No. 5 of the Village of Oak Lawn for a term of four years; D. Suzanne Marzanchas been elected as Library Trustee of the Village of Oak Lawn Library for a term of six years; and E. Michael Sutko has been elected as Library Trustee of the Village of Oak Lawn Library for a term of six years. SECTION 7: In accordance with 10 ILCS 5/22-18, the Village Clerk be and is hereby directed to immediately transmit a signed copy or original duplicate of this Board's abstract of votes to the County Clerk of Cook County and the State Board of Elections. SECTION 8: This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and approval as provided by law.
