WHEREAS City has, for years, adopted policy of collective bargaining between various labor organizations representing employees and administration, and WHEREAS Resolution No., adopted November,, authorized execution of - Collective Bargaining Agreement ( CBA ) between City of Tacoma and Professional and Technical Employees, Local ( Union ), on behalf of employees represented by said Union, and WHEREAS proposed Letter of Agreement ( LOA ) provides for consolidation of classifications of Building Inspector (CSC ) and Mechanical Inspector (CSC ) into a singlee classification entitled Inspector (CSC ), effective January,, to provide flexibility for cross-training and scheduling purposes, and WHEREAS employees in Building Inspector and Mechanical Inspector classificationss will maintain current job seniority in consolidated classification, and WHEREAS it appears in best interest of City that proposed LOA negotiated between City and Union bee approved; ; Now, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TACOMA: That proper officers of City are hereby authorized to execute Letter of Agreement negotiated between City of Tacoma and Professional Res-0.doc-CAC/bn --

WHEREAS City has, for years, adopted policy of collective bargaining between various labor organizations representing employees and administration, and WHEREAS Resolution No., adopted July,, authorized execution of - Collective Bargaining Agreement ( CBA ) between City of Tacoma and Washington n State Council of County and City Employees, Local 0 ( Union ), on behalf of employees represented by said Union, and WHEREAS City and Union have agreed on terms for accretion of classification of Communications Service Technician, currently consisting of one employee, into Union, which agreement was certified by Public Employment Relations Commission on September,, and WHEREAS proposed Letter of Agreement ( LOA ) provides for following: () effective retroactive to September,,, classification will receive a. percent wage increase; () pay scale will be reduced from steps to six steps; () classification will be eligible for longevity pay; and () effective January,, wages will increase by. percent, consistent with CBA between parties, and WHEREAS it appears in best interest of City that proposed LOA negotiated between City and Union bee approved; ; Now, Therefore, Res-.doc-CAC/bn --

No. AN ORDINANCE providing for removal of existing asphalt surface and placing new asphalt over existing structurall section between existing concrete curbs and brick gutters, and modifying existing storm drain lines and storm water catch basins, where needed, on Proctor Street from North th Street norrly to dead end; creating Local Improvement District No. ; and providing for a special fund for payment of improvements by special assessment upon property within district benefited reby, for issuance of warrants, installment notes, bond anticipation notes, or or short-term obligations to pay that part of cost and expense of improvements assessed against property in district, and for payment of remainder of cost reof. WHEREAS all of preliminary proceedings for establishment of Local Improvement District ( L.I.D. ) No. have been taken as provided by law, and WHEREAS Hearing Examiner of City, after public hearing duly held on November,, has recommended to City Council formation of L.I.D. That portion of Norast Quarter of Norast Quarter of Section, Township North, Range 0 East, W.M., described as follows: That portion of Wallace s Addition to Tacoma City, as per plat recorded in Volume, Page, filed July,, records of Pierce County Auditor, lying sourlyy of following described line; Commencing at Southwest cornerr of said plat; Thence North 0 East along west line of said Wallace s Addition, a distance of 0.00 feet to Point of Beginningg of this described line; Thence North o East,. feet, to a point on northwesterly line of Lot, Block,, of aforementioned Wallace s Addition, said point being. feet norasterly of Southwest corner of said Lot ; Thence South o East,. feet to intersection of norrly line of Block of said plat and South line of Norast quarter of Norast quarter of said Section and Terminus of this described line. That estimated cost andd expense of improvements is $,., which shall be borne and assessed against benefitted real property included in L.I.D. The Director of Environmen tal Services is hereby authorized to proceed and complete improvements and to make out and certify to City Council an assessment roll, all as provided byy law. The Director of Environmental Servicess shall keep a separatee account of expenditures made and exact cost of improvements separately computed. Upon certification by Director of Environmental Services that any sums are due to any person for labor or materials for improvements, proper officers shall issue a warrant refor drawn upon L.I.D.. Fund, District No.. The Director of Environmental Services shall certifyy to City Council assessment roll on real property as providedd by law. Section. Under provisions of laws of state of Washington, amendments reto, and this ordinance, re shall be issued warrants, installment notes, bond anticipation notes, or or short-term obligations, issued pursuant to Ordinance No., as it may be amended, in payment of cost and expense of district, payable out of Local Improvement District Fund. Such warrants, installment notes, bond anticipation n notes, or or short-term to be hereafter fixed by Director of Department of Finance in accordance with Ordinance No., and shall be redeemed from Local Improvement District Fund or by or obligations shalll bear interest from date of ir issuance at a rate warrants, Ord-.doc-JHC/bn --

Pursuant to provisions of laws of state of Washington, City Council hereby directs thatt improvements be paid for by City in cash and thatt warrants, installment notes, bond anticipation notes, or or short-term obligations authorized to be issued under provisions of this ordinance be sold by proper officers of e City in accordance with Ordinance No., as it may be amended, and that proceeds reof shall be applied in payment of cost and expense of improvements.
