4 Constitution Article I Name The name of this organization shall be : Indiana Field Archery Association Incorporated (IFAA) Article II Purpose Non Profit Purposes: 1. The Corporation is formed, organized, and shall be operated exclusively for charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, including for such purposes the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future Federal Tax Code. 2. The Corporation shall not be conducted or operated for profit and no part of the net earnings of the Corporation shall inure the benefit of, or be distributable to its members, trustees, officers or other private persons, except that the corporation shall be authorized and empowered to pay reasonable compensation for services rendered and to make payments and distributions in furtherance of the Indiana Field Archery Association. 3. No substantial part of the activities of the Corporation shall be the carrying on of propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation, and the Corporation shall not participate in or political campaign on behalf of or in opposition to any candidate for public office. 4. The Corporation shall not carry on any other activities not permitted to be carried on (a) by a Corporation exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or (b) by a corporation, contributions to which are deductible under section 170(c)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future Federal Tax Code. Dissolution: Upon Dissolution of the Indiana Field Archery Association, the Board of Directors shall distribute the assets of the Corporation for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future Federal Tax Code, or shall be distributed to the federal government, or to a state or local government, for a public purpose. Any such assets not so disposed of shall be disposed of by a court of competent jurisdiction in the county in which the principal office of the Corporation is then located, exclusively for such purposes or to such organization or organizations, as said court shall determine, which are organized and operated exclusively for such purposes. 4 of 62

5 Constitution, Continued Article II Purpose A B C D E F G H The specific purposes of the IFAA are: To promote and foster the practice of organized archery in the state of Indiana The activity of the IFAA shall be to Adopt, interpret and enforce the rules for the practice of archery within the state Determine the State Championships Hold tournaments as directed by the Board of Directors To encourage the use of bow and arrow in hunting of all legal game, birds and animals and to protect, improve and increase the privilege of archery hunting. To foster and perpetuate a spirit of good fellowship among all archers To cooperate with Federal and State governments, sportsmen and conservation organizations in the propagation and conservation of game and its habitat, forest and fields. To cooperate with target archery associations: National, State and Local; in fostering and perpetuating the use of bow and arrow in accordance with its ancient and honorable traditions. To regularly inform each member in good standing as to: The major problems and issues affecting the sport of archery and hunting with bow and arrow The action proposed and taken in order that the membership may make its will known to their duly elected representatives To own and operate lands and buildings for the purpose of maintaining and carrying on education in the field of conservation and in the field of archery by means of lectures, pictures, publications and actual demonstrations upon any land owned or to be owned by said IFAA association, and upon other lands, public and private, and to carry out all of the purposes herein mentioned by any and all appropriate means. 5 of 62

6 Constitution, Continued, Continued Article III Membership A B There shall be three (3) classes of membership Adult Junior Life Adult membership shall be granted to anyone 18 years of age and above, upon application and payment of regular dues. C Junior membership shall be granted to anyone under the age of 18, upon application and payment of regular dues. The age for Junior membership will be in accordance with the NFAA age requirement. D E F G Life membership shall be granted to any member upon payment of dues, provided that the member has previously obtained a NFAA life membership. The Board of Directors may suspend or expel any member for just cause; a member may be reinstated only by 2/3 vote of the Board of Directors, upon appeal by the member. The State Association will carry any NFAA/IFAA member on the membership roster for a period of one (1) enlistment in the Armed Forces, free of membership dues, when reported to the Club Secretary. Any and all IFAA mailing/ ing lists are the property of the IFAA and its members and will not be sold or given out to any individuals, organizations, or businesses or posted with addresses. Article IV Fees and Dues A B C D The IFAA membership dues shall be set by the Board of Directors. The club affiliation fees shall be set by the Board of Directors Fees for State sponsored tournaments shall be set by the Board of Directors There will be a $10.00 fee charged for returned checks 1. Upon receiving a returned check, not acted upon within thirty (30) days, membership will be revoked immediately and the NFAA will be notified. 2. Checks will no longer be accepted from that party. 3. Membership will not be reinstated until returned check is made good. 6 of 62

7 Constitution, Continued, Continued Article V Officers and their Duties A B President Duties shall be: 1. Preside over all meetings of the Board and any other constituted body. 2. Conduct meetings in strict accordance with parliamentary procedure. 3. Appoint standing committees and special committees. 4. Initiate and develop activities of the Board and any other duly constituted body. 5. Call emergency board meetings. 6. Make all emergency decisions and interpretations. Disagreement with the Presidential decisions and/or interpretations by any quorum of the membership will be ruled on at a called meeting of the Board on a date not less than fifteen days or more than thirty days from the date of the disagreement. 7. Decide any ties on the Life Time Achievement Award. Vice President of Field Duties shall be: 1. Perform the duties of the President if he/she is unable to act. 2. Fill the Presidency, if vacated for any reason. 3. Act as Chairman of the Life Time Achievement Award. a. Responsible for the nomination and voting process b. Responsible for the presentation of the award, along with past winners. 4. To be the alternate to attend the NFAA annual meeting. 5. Responsible for holding the election of officers, unless he/she is running for office. a. Provide ballots b. Make posters to display positions up for election and the persons running for them 6. Perform all the duties of the NFAA Director if he/she is unable to perform their duties. 7. Responsible for securing IFAA properties (i.e. target buttresses) 8. Tournament Chairman of all Target shoots. 7 of 62

Perform the duties of the President in the event that both the President and Vice President of Field are unable to perform such duties, until such time that the Board can appoint or elect a new President and Vice President of Field. 2. Encourage the use of bow and arrow in the taking of all legal game, work with conservation departments to protect, improve and increase the privileges of the bowhunter. 3. Act as the Tournament Chairman for the 3D State Championship and Qualifier Tournaments and work with the host club to promote the tournament. 4. Responsible for ordering District awards, State Championship awards and Open tournament awards. Secretary Duties shall be: 1. Keep an accurate account of all meetings of the IFAA 2. Responsible for all records and correspondence with members, clubs and the NFAA. 3. Responsible for the compilation of information for the IFAA newsletter to be mailed to Head of Households approximately every six (6) months. a. The purpose of the newsletter is to keep the membership informed of rule changes, tournament information and tournament results. b. Deadlines for mailing the newsletters are May 15 and October 31. c. Effective 4/15/2012 Suspend printing newsletters. 4. Responsible for keeping an accurate permanent record of all state sponsored tournaments, including names and scores of participants. 5. Issue all club affiliations and keep an accurate record of the clubs in good standing. 2. Maintain a bank account in the name of the IFAA. a. Handle all money of the IFAA and keep an accurate record of each transaction. b. Checks drawn on the account in excess of $ 500 must be authorization of the President via confirmation, and signed by the treasurer. 3. Present a detailed financial report to the Board at the Spring meeting and the Fall meeting. On that report completely itemize all the expenses for each tournament. 4. File all necessary reports with the State of Indiana and the Internal Revenue Service pertaining to the finances of the IFAA. 5. Obtain a blanket security bond for the organization and keep it current. 6. Submit a compliance affidavit, on or prior to November 1 st of each year, along with necessary fee to keep insurance coverage in force for the IFAA. NFAA Director Duties shall be: 1. Represent IFAA at all NFAA meetings. a. Travel and lodging expenses will be paid, provided there are enough funds; determined by the Executive Board. b. A second member of the Executive Board may attend the NFAA meetings provided it is necessary and funds are available. 2. Submit to the IFAA Board an annual report detailing the activities and position of the NFAA, at the spring meeting. NOTE: Members of the same family will not be permitted to serve on the Executive Board at the same time. 10 Constitution, Continued, Continued Article VI Board of Directors A B C D E F G H The Board of Directors shall consist of the following: President Vice President of Field Vice President of Hunting Secretary Treasurer NFAA Director IFAA Pro Representative Social Media PR (Public Relations) Senior Directors from each district Junior Directors from each district The directors shall control and manage the activities, policies, property, dues and fees of the IFAA. They will be limited to transacting business assigned to them in the by-laws or referred to them by the affiliated clubs and membership. Directors will be responsible for Vegas 660 Mail-in Tournament in their districts The Board shall meet in person whenever possible and deemed necessary, at the call of the President. At all meetings a quorum shall be calculated as 2/3 of the seated positions. Actions of the Board may be decided by mail or ballot. Votes to be counted fourteen (14) days after ballot is submitted. Only ballots returned within the timeframe will be counted. Any IFAA officer or director missing three (3) consecutive meetings or state activities may be replaced and said officer or director cannot run for any state office for a period of two (2) years. 1. Replacement may be suggested by any officer or director 2. Appointment of the replacement shall be by the IFAA President. The Senior Director of each district shall act as Chairman and Secretary for district tournaments. The Junior Director of each district shall be responsible for sending all records and IFAA fees to the Treasurer and Secretary following all district tournaments. 10 of 62

11 Constitution, Continued, Continued Article VI Board of Directors - Board of Directors (continued) I District score cards are to be kept by the Senior Director for 1 year following the tournament, Compiled results in order by style and score are to be sent the Secretary within 3 days of the tournament, Fees are to be sent to the Treasurer within 3 days of the tournament. J K L M All Directors and Officers are REQUIRED to work at the State Championships. If a Director or Officer does not work as scheduled they will be required to pay the normal shooting fee. The immediate past President will act as an advisor for the term of the new President. The past President will be a non-voting member of the Board for the term of his successor. IFAA Pro Representative elected by the Indiana Pros and he/she will interface with the NFAA Pro Sectional Rep that interfaces with the NFAA Pro Organization. Elected in even years at Indoor State. The Pro Representative shall have full voting rights and a seat on the IFAA Board of Directors. Social Media Director for PR, assigned by the Executive Board, selected from resumes. 12 Constitution, Continued, Continued Article VII Fiscal Year A The IFAA fiscal year shall begin October 1 st. Article VIII Election and Term of Office A President, Vice President of Field, Vice President of Hunting, Secretary, Treasurer and NFAA Director shall be elected by the membership at the Indoor State Championship. 1. Votes to be cast the first day of the tournament. Results to be announced on the second day. 2. New officers shall assume office immediately after the spring meeting, which is approximately two (2) weeks after the Indoor State Championship. 3. Nominations for the above offices shall close at the end of Feb Officers will be elected in alternate years and will hold office for two (2) years with overlapping terms. 5. Must be 18 years of age or older to hold an office. If President, Vice President of Hunting, Secretary and NFAA Director, NFAA Pro Rep Vice President of Field and Treasurer Then Voting will occur in even years, Indiana Pros will elect Pro Rep Voting will occur in odd years 12 of 62

Votes to be cast before the 1 st scoring arrow of the last round of the day are shot. 2. Tie vote to be decided by drawing from ballots cast; the first person whose name is drawn three (3) times is the winner. The loser becomes the alternate. NOTE: The alternate has voting power only if the Senior or Junior director are unable to attend the meeting. 3. District directors assume office immediately following election. 4. Directors will be elected in alternate years and will hold office for two (2) years with overlapping terms. 5. Must be 18 years of age or older to hold an office. If Then Senior Director Voting occurs in even years Junior Director Voting occurs in odd years All nominees for officers and directors must be current NFAA members in good standing. If Then Officer Must send a letter or of acceptance, including the name of the nominating person to the Vice President of Field Must be postmarked (or dated if ) Feb 15. Director Directors Sr/Jr Must be present to Verbal accept Nomination for Senior or Junior Director, unless a medical emergency death within the family arises and or prior approval from a IFAA officer or the peers attending 4 th district election. Votes cast for officers and directors will be by current paid NFAA members of Indiana only. Proof of membership may be required if member s name is not on the listed provided by the NFAA. Members must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible to vote Members are eligible to vote as soon after your dues are paid. 13 of 62

14 Constitution, Continued, Continued Article IX Alterations and Amendments Constitution, Continued Article X Business Meetings and Membership Vote A This constitution may be altered or amended by 2/3 vote by the membership either by mail ballot, ballot or by specially called meetings for this purpose, or by the Board. Mail/ ballots will be sent by the Secretary by first class mail or by . Ballots must be postmarked or dated (if ) for return within fifteen (15) days of the date on which they were sent out by the Secretary. A question so submitted shall be binding upon the association. A minimum of fifteen (15) days advance notice will be given by the IFAA Secretary for specially called meetings. At specially called meetings a vote of 2/3 of the seated Officers and Directors shall serve to amend or alter. A The annual business meeting shall be the Board Meeting. B The annual business meeting shall be held approximately two (2) weeks following the Indoor State Championship on Sunday at 9:00am. The meeting is not to be held on a holiday Meeting site will be designated by IFAA President, at a centrally located site, when possible. C Any vote required by the membership that cannot be done at the Indoor State Championship, will be by mail/ ballot, except the annual election of officers. D No proxy votes will be allowed E A meeting is to be held in each district at the last indoor district tournament. 1. District meetings will be presided over by the senior director and shall consist of two (2) voting delegates from each affiliated club or commercial lanes within the district. 2. The clubs/lanes shall submit proposals to the director, which he/she will submit at the annual IFAA business meeting. 3. District tournament sites for the following year shall be open for bid at this time. 4. Alternate Director has voting power and shall shoot free when called upon to work if Senior or Junior is not present. 14 of 62

15 Constitution, Continued, Continued Article XI Liability A B C Each archer is responsible for any and all of his actions at any tournament. This responsibility applies especially to the result of accidents caused by the archer s equipment. This liability is in excess of club liability insurance. Clubs hosting NFAA/IFAA sponsored tournaments must have approved liability insurance. NFAA endorsed insurance is for clubs and pro shops that are affiliated with NFAA. The club would be covered for liability in case a club activity caused damage to someone's property. There is also a secondary medical coverage that would pay if a person was injured during a club activity. It is secondary, so the individual s regular medical coverage would be used first. State organizations are covered the same way as the clubs. The NFAA also offers a $5,000 liability coverage for NFAA members while they may be bowhunting on property they do not own. This does not cover the bowhunter; it covers the landowner's property for damage that may be caused by the bowhunter. This coverage is included in the regular NFAA/State membership dues, no additional charge. 15 of 62

16 Constitution, Continued, Continued Article XII Legal Committee A B C D The legal committee of IFAA shall consist of the: President Vice President of Field Vice President of Hunting Secretary Treasurer Immediate past President as advisor NFAA Director The duties of the legal committee shall be to study and consider the constitutionality of any proposed change to the IFAA constitution. Further duties of the committee shall be to keep abreast of the NFAA Constitution and By-laws, and never knowingly permit any change or alteration of the IFAA Constitution to directly conflict with the NFAA. If so informed that IFAA has an article that does conflict, the committee shall have the authority to make necessary changes and inform the membership of said changes. The legal committee will update and review the Constitution annually. 16 of 62

Northwest Starting at the Illinois state line, following US 24 (old & business US 24) east through Monticello & Logansport to junction US 3 North on US 31 around the west side of South Bend to the Michigan state line. 2. Northeast Start at junction US 31 and Michigan state line go south on US 31 to junction of US 24 on the west side of Peru. East on old US 24 to the center of Peru to junction of SR 19, south on SR 19 to SR 124. Follow SR 124 east to Ohio state line. 3. West Central Bounded on the north by US 24 from Illinois state line to junction US 31, south on US 31 to I-465. Following east on I-465 around Indianapolis to the junction of US 36 on the west side o Indianapolis. West on US 36 to Illinois state line. 4. East Central Bounded on the north by SR 124 from Ohio state line, west to junction US 31 by way of Peru. SR 124 to SR 19 north to center of Peru. East on US 24 to US 31. South on US 31 to I-465. East on I-465 and south to junction US 40 on east to the Ohio state line. 5. Lower Southwest Central Bounded on the north by a line from Illinois state line east to SR 135. US 70 East to junction of SR 46. South east on SR 46 to junction of SR 67 North Northeast on SR 67 to SR 39 South on SR 39 to junction of SR 37. Northeast on SR 37 to SR 252. 19 By-Laws Article I Meetings A B C All business meetings and special meetings will be called to order by the IFAA President. The order of business at all meetings shall be: 1. Roll Call 2. Selection of sites and dates for championship tournaments and Open tournaments. 3. Minutes of previous meeting, and Secretary s report and comments. 4. Treasurer s report and comments. 5. NFAA Director s report. 6. Committee reports. 7. Unfinished business. 8. New business which does NOT affect or alter the Constitution and/or By-Laws. 9. New business proposals for changes in the Constitution and/or By-Laws at the Spring Meeting only. No Fall changes. 10. Adjournment. The order of business at special meetings shall be: 1. Roll Call 2. Minutes of previous meeting. 3. Treasurer s report. 4. Reason for special meeting and discussion. 5. Any other business deemed necessary to be brought up at this meeting. 6. Adjournment. Article II Committees A B Any member of NFAA/IFAA in good standing may serve on one or more committees The President may appoint committees for any purpose he/she deems necessary provided the purpose does not fall under the duties of any officer or director. 19 of 62

Membership dues 1. Membership dues cover both NFAA and IFAA If Then Single adult membership $65 Junior membership (under 18 $35 years of age) Family membership (for 2 $75 family members) Family membership ($ 5 for add $5 for each member over each family members) the first two members Life membership $100 prior to the age of 65 and $60 for members age 65 and older. NOTE: this requires a Life membership in the NFAA first. See the NFAA for details. 2. Dues run in conjunction with NFAA dues. 3. Dues are subject to change as the NFAA changes their fees. 4. State Directors are responsible for making their own accommodations. Upon submitting a written bill within 7-days, Treasurer will reimburse. IFAA pays a maximum of $40.00 per night, for all State Championship Tournaments. The NFAA Director from Indiana shall receive compensation in the amount of 0.35 cents per mile to all IFAA meetings and motel reservations for all championship tournaments. 1. The IFAA will reimburse the NFAA Director the difference between what the NFAA pays and what the NFAA Director s expenses actually are. 2. The NFAA Director from Indiana shall receive $ compensation for attending the annual NFAA meeting. If duties are not performed satisfactorily at all Districts, Indoor and Outdoor State Championships they will be assessed shooting fees if they are shooting. This will be at the discretion of the Executive Board. All Officers and Directors will Pay all shooting fees for all outdoor tournaments. If Officers/Directors/NFAA Director s expenses exceed Treasury assets, they will forfeit all benefits excluding Treasurer and Secretary salaries. 24 of 62

Indoor district tournaments in districts having 2 or more clubs/commercial lanes shall use a rotating schedule and no one shall have back to back districts. Clubs/commercial lanes must contact there district sr. director before the last district to verify that they want to stay in the rotation for the following year. 2. The Indoor Districts shall be held as follows: a. First Full Weekend in November or any 7 days prior b. Second Weekend in December or any days c. Third Weekend in January or any 7 days prior d. Second Weekend in February or any 7 days prior e. All Dates are at the discretion of the IFAA Board of Directors. 3. Must be a NFAA/IFAA member to compete for an award. 25 of 62

All bids to be in the hands of the IFAA director prior to the meeting and a representative of the bidding club/commercial lane must be present to answer questions and give a resume of the facility. a. No club is to have back to back districts if more than one club/commercial lane bids. b. In bidding on district tournaments, it must be a club officer (President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer) or commercial lane owner or manager that bids. Two delegates from the bidding club or commercial lane must be present. c. And district having five (5) or more clubs/commercial lanes shall use a rotation schedule in deciding district locations. 2. Outdoor Districts shall be held as follows: a. Any Weekend in June (Field District) b. Any Weekend in July/August (Hunter District) c. District Shoot must not conflict with IFAA tournament. 3. Must be a NFAA/IFAA member to compete for an award. Indoor State Championship 1. Indoor State Championship shall be held in March, or at the discretion of the IFAA Officers. a. The Indoor State Championship will be hosted by the IFAA. b. The location and dates shall be announced at the annual spring business meeting. c. The club/commercial lane hosting the International Round shall be awarded the option of hosting the tournament for two (2) consecutive years. 3. Need NOT be a NFAA/IFAA member to compete for an award. Club and Commercial Lane Schedules All NFAA/IFAA affiliated clubs and commercial lanes will make their best effort not to schedule a tournament or archery shoot at the same time the IFAA has a shoot or tournament scheduled. Vegas 660 Mail-In Round Tournament date set at Fall or Spring Meeting, to be held any weekend in January. Article VI Tournament Eligibility A B To compete for an award in an IFAA district or State Championship tournament, an archer must meet the following qualifications: 1. Must be a member in good standing with the NFAA/IFAA. 2. Must furnish proof of membership when requested. a. If proof of membership cannot be produced, said archer must shoot in guest division at districts and visitor division at State Championship with no award to be given. NFAA out of state visitors shall be allowed to shoot in all IFAA state sponsored tournaments, but are eligible for visitor awards only. They will be charged the same registration fees. 29 of 62

30 C D E By-Laws, Continued Article VII - Classification An IFAA member will be allowed to shoot out of district but will not be allowed to compete for awards or be eligible to vote at the district election. You must shoot 1 of 4 Indoor Districts to be eligible to shoot the Indoor State or a $10 fee will be charged for not shooting a District. You must shoot 1 of the Outdoor Districts to be eligible to shoot the Outdoor State or a $10 fee will be charged for not shooting a District. A B All Divisions and Styles established by the NFAA will be recognized by IFAA unless otherwise stipulated by the Board of Directors. 1. The divisions recognized are: Professional Adult (18 to 49 years of age) Master Senior (70 years of age and older) Silver Senior (60-69 years of age) Senior (50-59 years of age) PeeWee (up to age 7 years of age) Cub (8 to 11 years of age) Youth (12 to 14 years of age) Young Adult (15 to 17 years of age) A shooter shall be eligible to shoot the younger style, if they have a birthday during the current season. At the end of the Indoor State or Outdoor State Championships, the shooter will be moved to the higher age group. Once a Young Adult, Youth or Cub declares by written documentation into a higher division he/she may not return to the previous status. If the shooter shoots a NFAA National Tournament his/her style changes on his/her birthday. 30 of 62

The NFAA handicap shall be used to establish the individual class in each shooting style. 2. An archer s class shall be derived only from those scores shot within the last twelve (12) month period. To figure class with Then 2, 3 or 4 recorded scores Use the best score 5 or 6 recorded scores Use the average of the best 2 scores 7 or more recorded scores Use the average of the best 3 scores of the last seven scores shot 3. To compete in class at the Outdoor State Championship, a class card must be presented for verification of classification. 4. If you are shooting in the top class of your style, you do not have to turn in your membership card; only show it for verification of membership. 5. All archers must have a minimum of two (2) open tournament scores in order to compete in class at district tournaments. No league scores are to be entered on class cards. 6. All archers must have three (3) tournament scores shot on three separate dates, one of which must be a district score on class card to compete in class at Outdoor State Championship, other than top class. 7. Scores shot prior to the date of payment of NFAA/IFAA membership dues will not be entered on classification card. 8. Team competition cannot reclassify an archer, nor may it be used as an additional score for classification. The open tournament scores and district scores must be in the style of shooting in which you register for the State Championships. 31 of 62

32 By-Laws, Continued Article VIII - Awards A B C Life Time Achievement award 1. Nominations must be submitted by Feb 15 to an IFAA Director or Officer. 2. Prior winners of the award are not eligible. 3. Voting on the nominees is done by the Officers and Directors of the IFAA. 4. Presentation of the award will take place at the Indoor State Championship. Big Buck award offered for the largest whitetail deer. Qualifications are as follows: 1. Applicant must be a member in good standing prior to the hunting season. 2. Deer must be taken with broadhead, using rules of fair chase and during legal hunting season. 3. Two (2) witnesses must sign a statement that the deer was legally taken with bow and arrow, in Indiana. 4. Measurements will be as follows: a. Number of points on the rack b. Width and height of rack c. Weight of deer (field dressed) 5. If no bucks are entered, then the award will be given to the largest doe, weight only. 6. Pictures of the deer shall be sent with the application when possible. 7. Application must be mailed to the Vice President of Hunting of the IFAA and postmarked by Feb 15 of each year. 8. The award will be presented at the IFAA Indoor State Championship. IFAA Shooter of The Year Award. Qualifications are as follows: 1. Must be a IFAA member. Host club only for the points. 2. Indoor and Outdoor State Tournaments and American are Based on 10 point for 1st place down to 8 th place for 3 points, there after everyone will get 3 points, for Indoor Championship flights and All Outdoor Top Classes 3. International, Outdoor field, Outdoor Hunter, and all 4 indoor districts are based on 5 points for 1 st place down to 4 th place for 2 points, there after everyone will get 2 points. Points start at the using Indoor tournament results, adding all outdoor districts and tournaments and all following Indoor Districts, ending with 4 th indoor district. 5. Awards for Male and Female in Cubs, Youth and Young Adults, and Adults. Six Awards total, Awards to be given out at the next Indoor State Tournament. 6. Secretary will keep a running total on the web site: 7. If there is a Tie, duplicate awards will be awarded 8. If you start as a Cub, Youth or YA, you will stay in that style for awards if you change age groups. Your next higher points will go toward the style you started in. District Awards 1. First place winners are eligible to receive a state pin for the appropriate round shot. Archers will receive one pin only for indoor districts. 1. District bars are issued by the IFAA Directors a. Indoor first, second, third and fourth 2. To be eligible for district pins the archer must compete in his/her home club district. Only one home club will be allowed per year. Non-affiliated members will have their district determined by the first district shot. The IFAA Officers: President, Vice-Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Nfaa Director shall be eligible to compete for awards in any district during their term in their divisions. In an individual does not stay to receive their award or does not make arrangement with host club to send them their award, the award will go back to host possession for recycle and use for another day. District shooting times are at the discretion of the directors within the district. 3. If your home district is not active, then you may go to another district to compete. The first district shot will determine your home district for that season. If you shoot anywhere else you are not eligible for awards, you are a Visitor. 4. Practice before the indoor district will be permitted. 5. If conditions warrant that a district cannot be held on the regular district date, the directors within said district shall be permitted to re-schedule that district, to be held within seven (7) days following the district date. This is to be used in emergency situations only and approved by the Executive Board. Outdoor Districts 1. Outdoor districts shall consist of scoring one (1) Field 28 target round or one (1) Hunter 28 target round. 2. District shooting times are at the discretion of the directors within the district. It shall be permitted for the senior director to run a district on a progressive system. 3. If your home district is not active, then you may go to another district to compete. The first district shot will determine your home district for that season. If you shoot anywhere else you are not eligible for awards, you are a Visitor. 4. Practice before the outdoor district will be permitted. 5. If conditions warrant that a district cannot be held on the regular district date, the directors within said district shall be permitted to re-schedule that district, to be held within seven (7) days following the district date. 35 By-Laws, Continued Article IX Tournament Rules (continued) C Indoor State Championship 1. The Indoor State Championship will consist of two (2) 300 rounds, using the IFAA Indoor Flight System. a. First round will be shot on Saturday at 8:00am and 12:00pm and will be used for an individual score and a team event score, if the archer is participating in the team event. (12 ends; 5 arrows each end; total of 60 arrows) b. Second round will be shot on Sunday at 8:00am and 12:00pm and will be used for an individual score. (12 ends; 5 arrows each end; total of 60 arrows) c. Each archer must be required to shoot 1 round each day and shoot with their peers. Peers will shoot together unless there is a medical emergency or an Officer needs to change am/pm shooting line due to IFAA work schedule. 2. Scoring will be for a single spot target and 5-4 for a multi-spot target. 3. There will be a four (4) minute time limit per end. An arrow shot after the whistle will not be counted. 4. Shoot on whistle one whistle to start, two whistles to stop. 5. Archers competing in the team event will score the last two (2) ends of the Saturday round the regular way and then the inside out values will be put on the backside of the score card. These scores are used as a tiebreaker only. 6. If a tie exists for individuals, see the IFAA Indoor Flight System for Formulas for Tie Breaking. 7. Officers and Directors will be responsible for calling questionable arrows. If a shortage of current officers occurs, past officers and directors and alternates may also call arrows. 8. Archers may compete in one style only. 9. Once an archer starts scoring on a target, the type of target may not be changed in that 300-round. (i.e. from a multispot to a single spot or a single spot to a multi-spot). In a two day tournament, an archer may change the type of target on the second 300-round of the tournament. 10. NFAA Pee-Wee style will be recognized at the Indoor State. Age is under 8 years old. Shooting 5 yards, Adults will score and pull the arrows. An adult may load the arrow for the archer.
