1 Motion A: Motion to expand the Grand Council to seven members: The main objective of this motion is to expand the Grand Council to seven members. The National Director and Grand lecturer are to be elevated to the Grand Council, and will remain appointed positions. The final make-up of the Grand Council will be four elected officers and three officers who are appointed by those who are elected. In addition to this change, the position of National Director is to be changed to Grand Inspector. The addition of the Grand prefix is consistent with the Grand Council Officers. The use of the term inspector aligns this title with the other offices by reverting back to the tradition of using Masonic titles for Grand Council Officers. Note that until 1981, the National Director was known as the National Inspector. This proposal seeks to return to that nomenclature.
