2 FINANCIAL AND KKEE}'I NC MATTERS Ms. Austin presented and reviewed the bookkeeper's report, a copy of which is attached' The Board discussed the capital funds account and the rehibilitation of Cround Storage Tank No. 2. After review and di*cussion, Director Branrlman mclved to approve the bookkeeper's report and payment of the trills. Director Brantiman discussed the varlous inspection and sampling fees in the District's rate eirrler and requested that the *peratclr and boakkeeper conrdinate to update the operating revenue line item on the budget. After review and discussiory Director Brandman moved to adopt the budget for ihe fiseal year end March 31,2A2A, as rliscussed. Director Rorlriguez seconded tfie rn*ti*n, which passed unanimously" TAX ASSUSSMENT AND CO], ON IVIA TTERS Ms. Adarns reviewed the tax assessorfcollector's report, a cr:py of which is attached, which reflects that g6.?9% of the District's 2018 taxei have been collected as of ]anuary 31, The Board discussed Sales Revenue, Inc.'s ("SRI') relationship to Whceler and repi:rted to Ms. Adams that a new restaurant has opened in the nistrict. Ms. Adams stated she will inform SRI of the new restaurant. Following review and discussion, Director Radriguez moved tn approve the tax asressor/collecteir's repor! including payment of the tax bills. Director Srandman seconded the motion, which passed by unanimous vote. ADO RTSOLUTIO N CON EXElVIPTIONS FOR TAX ATION The Board next considered adopting a Resolution Concerning Exemptions frorn Taxatian. Ms. staine reviewed the Resr:lution which provitles for a?10,000 exemption {or persons who are over 65 or disabled. After review and discussion, Director Rodriguez meived to adopt the Resolution Concerning Hxemptioxs frnxr?axation and direct that the Resolution be $iled appropriately and retainecl in the District's official records. Director Nava seconded the motion, which passerj unanimously. 3 99'59% and updated the Board on maintenance and repairs conclucted rluring the previous month" Mr. Sel{ stated there is one delinquent water and sewer s&vice account in the amount of $L38"26 to forward to Collections l"inlimitetl. Mr' Self reviewed the preventative maintenance schedule with the Board and stateel he has inspected the well and rescheduled the washinp; to August Upon a request from Director Nava, Mr. $elf stated he will tlistribute cr:pies ol tt"t* maintenance schedule to the Board rnonthly. Mr. Self updated the Board on the status o{ last rn*nth's request from the resident at 1V207 Meadow Heights, noting that a joint in thr: line on the resident's side had separated. He stated he has alreacly responded to the resident. Mr. Self reported bricks urere {cluncl in a manhole and discussion ensued. Mr' Self reviewed the list o{ delinquent accounts with the Board and discussion ensued. Upon a motion made by Director Nava, antl a second by Director Ho{fman, the Board voted unanimously to approve the operator's report. ON OF h{r. $elf presented a list of delinquent customers and reported the customer$ on the terrnination list were delinquent in payment of their water an6 sewer bills and wele given written notification, in accordance with the District's Rate Order, prior to the meeting of the opportunity to appear l:efr:re the Boarci of Directors to explain, contest, or correct their bills and to show why utility services sheruld not be terminhted for reason of non-payment. Following review and discussion, Direetor Nava moved to authorize termination o{ delinquent accounts in accordance with the District's Rate Order and direct that the delinquent customer list be filed appropriately and retained in the District's n{ficial recr:rds" The motion was $econtled- by ilirector Hofiman and passed by unanirncus vote.
