4 Legislative Activity Session March 7 May 5, 2017 March 7, 2017 Regular Session convenes (Article III, section 3(b), Constitution) 12:00 noon, deadline for filing bills for introduction (Rule 3.7(1)) April 22, 2017 All bills are immediately certified (Rule 6.8), motion to reconsider made and considered the same day (Rule 6.4(4)) April 25, th day last day for regularly scheduled committee meetings (Rule 2.9(2)) May 5, th day last day of Regular Session (Article III, section 3(d), Constitution) No bills are final until signed by the Governor

15 Term 2 Refunds/Reconciliation Due within 60 days after the last day of drop/add for that term Reconciliation Report allows you to view your Disbursement Eligibility Report activity by year, term, program, and student

20 Institutional Renewal Institutions required to apply for renewal to participate in state financial aid annually Online application opens May 1 Due June 8 Most data prefilled Update any changes Private institutions provide term dates, Cost of Attendance and tuition/fees for Look for memo to be sent end of April

21 Bright Futures Drop/Withdrawal Funds Students are required to repay the Bright Futures portion of the cost of any courses dropped or withdrawn after the last day of drop/add Students repay the institution Whether the student has paid the institution, the institution is required to remit funds to OSFA within 30 days of the institution's last day of each term

22 Grade & Hours Report Due 30 days after the end of spring term, no later than June 30 Submit institutional undergraduate cumulative GPA and earned hours for all disbursed students for the fall and spring of the academic year G&H Report populated with same students you submitted on your DERs at the beginning of each term

23 Final Reconciliation Reconciliation of all monies for the academic year due by June 1 Same process as reconciliation for end of term All monies for the academic year are reconciled Carry-over of funds to next academic year not permitted
