As a rapporteur to a number of the Committee s Opinion I collaborate and work occasionally with a team of SC Secretariat members and Commission officials. My task also implies participation to inter-institutional actions (presentation to Counc EP or Commission formats of the activities of the SC on an annual basis, participation to th annual exchange of views with the Institutions meeting as provided in article 16 of Regulatio 883/2013 etc). - During my 6 years attachment to the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU, as a JHA Counselor ( ), I participated in an almost daily basis, to the various working groups dealing with cooperation in criminal matters, convened by Council or the Commission, and have, therefore, improved high skills of communicating, mediating and reaching agreement on legislative, criminal law, texts. -experience in EU Human Rights policy : During the six years of my attachment to th Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU, as a JHA Counselor, I have attained a hig degree of experience on human rights protection matters, the EU policies and legislativ priorities thereof [admist others, I have attended, as member of the greek delegation, th meetings of the EU Council working groups, which : (a) delivered the Council Regulation (EC No 168/2007 on the FRA and (b) examined the Framerork-Decisions on combating racism an xenophobia and on certain procedural rights in criminal proceedings], as well as on the functio of the EU institutions. -intercultural skills : (a) Acting as a member of the (5 members) OLAF Supervisory Committee since February 201 I work under a multinational schema in view of achieving a common understanding and drawin a uniform strategy in order to better monitor the Office s investigative function. (b) During my attachment to the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU, I hav experienced daily work in an EU institutions environment (different formats of EU Coun working groups, European Commission workshops and working groups etc) and I have, particular during the Greek Presidency of the Council (first semester of 2003), chaired th Justice and Home Affairs Counselors working group.
5 Organisational skills and competences -My duties as a Public Prosecutor involve the administration of criminal justice system issue (making part of the day-to-day function of a judicial service of a large scale) and a high degree responsibilities and relevant competences -I present, on an annual basis, to the students of the National School of Judges, the acquis the field of the European area of Justice, Liberty and Security. -During my six years attachment to the permanent Representation of Greece to the EU, I hav participated, as a main speaker, in several seminars and conferences on Third Pillar and oth issues of criminal nature (Eurojust, European arrest warrant, judicial cooperation in crimin matters, money laundering, criminal protection of free competition), [e.g. (1) Seminars on th European Arrest Warrant and the Eurojust Unit, held in Athens in 2003, during the Gree Presidency of the Council of the European Union, (2) Seminars on the Eurojust Unit and o the police and judicial co-operation in Criminal Matters in the EU (Thessaloniki 2002, 2005), ( Seminar on the Judicial cooperation in civil and criminal matters, organized by the Institute Advanced Legal Studies (IALS), under the GROTIUS Programme on the training of EU Cou officials in the recent developments in the EU procedural law (London, 2003), (5) in Twinnin Programmes in Bosnia-Herzegovina (2006) and (6) Albania (2006), (7) TAIEX organize programmes in Cyprus (2007)]. -I have to day participated, as a main speaker, in several seminars and conferences on a varie of criminal justice oriented issues [e.g. (1) domestic violence (Kavala 2009), (2) prelimina criminal investigation (Athens 2011), (3) plea bargaining (Athens 2013), (4) the new Draft Criminal Procedure Code (Pyrgos 2014), -As chairman of the Council of the European Union Working Group on Cooperation in Crimin Matters (COPEN), during the Greek Presidency of the Council) (first semester of 2014), I ha the responsibility and schedule of the all relevant legislative work on the Draft Regulation on th establishment of the European Public Prosecutor s Office (EPPO). - As a member of the OLAF Supervisory Committee (SC), being a Rapporteur on sever Opinions issued annually, I schedule, overview and administer the work of the SC Secretari and collaborate with a number of officials thereof. -As a Substitute Head of the Athens Public Prosecutor s Office at the Court of First Instance share the responsibility of administering a judicial service of a remarkable climax (130 pub prosecutors and over 400 public servants of assisting duties). This task implies managerial ski of a high quality and moreover the ability to serve efficiently the interest of Justice.
