3 Integrated Development Strategy (IDS) To operationalize the Strategic Development Patnership Framework (SDPF) and to realign policies/priorities by consolidating the earlier strategies (Comprehensive Development Strategy, Economic Growth Strategy, and Post Crisis Need Assessment (PCNA); the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (GoKP) formulated Integrated Development Strategy (IDS). The IDS comprehensively articulates the strategic objectives of GoKP. 4 Strategic Development Partnership Framework (SDPF) The Strategic Development Partnership Framework (SDPF) was developed in October 2013, through a strategic ongoing dialogue process between the GoKP and Development Partners (DPs) by agreeing on the framework and priority areas. SDPF fosters the adoption of processes where the DPs funding is channeled to align with GoKP reform agenda, while ensuring no duplication occurs funding by various DPs. The GoKP then carried out an extensive consultation process to finalize the framework for the EGS. The medium term EGS to be implemented from June 2015, targets growth rate of 7.5% of the provincial GDP. Health Education Skill development Inclusive Growth 3

9 Improved Service Delivery - Health SEHAT INSAF CARD Health Insurance for 50% of the Population in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health insurance cads to 1.8 million households through which eight individuals will stand entitled to free medical treatment up to PKR 540,000. Free medical treatment facilities can be availed from designated private and public sector hospitals. 7

10 Improved Service Delivery - Education Major Reforms in Education Uniform Medium of Instruction All students will study in the same medium. Fast-Track Standardization Of 400 Higher Secondary Schools (Sports, Libraries, Labs) School Based Teacher s Recruitment Policy 24,000 school based teachers recruited through NTS more being recruited during

11 Improved Service Delivery - Education Stipend For Girl Students to Control Dropout PKR 2400 per annum has been provided to 455,364 girls students of class 6th to 10th during current FY Dropout of girls students at transition phase from Primary to Secondary has been reduced. Female education supervisors are getting 100% of their basic pay as additional allowance in hard areas. 9

12 Rule of Law Police Assistance Lines The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have established Police Assistance Lines (PAL) in every district headquarter for character certificates, vehicle verification, loss/missing reporting. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Ordinance, 2016 Dispute Resolution Councils Facilitating the common man in getting his petty issues resolved amicably through an alternate process of restorative justice involving members of the civil society 10
