A political project in defense of animal rights P.A.C.M.A.: Partido Animalista Contra Maltrato Animal = Party Against Animal Abuse
The Spanish Political Party for Animals was created in years during which we have become the leader in the defense of animals in Spain. Our initial goal was to put an end to bullfights, but over time our slogan has become: Animals, environment and social justice.
Now PACMA is in luck!
Concern for animal welfare has increased in Spain According to the CIS Barometer, March 2010: The animal protection movement is the second most valued by Spaniards (7 out of 10 respondents) Just behind the human rights movement. Source: C.I.S.: Spanish Centre for Sociological Research
Reflection in our election results 102,000 votes for the Spanish Congress in ,000 votes for the Spanish Senate in ,000 votes for the European Elections 2014
Without owing money to banks Only with people s support
1,700 members 250,000 FaceBook fans 46,000 Twitter followers
According to statistics the two major parties are losing support at a staggering rate. In a country where those major parties, right and left wing, are guilty of: - removing assistance to the underprivileged - cutting down on fundamental rights - being proven corrupt
Also a country where the reality of the animals is a real drama
About 150,000 dogs and cats are abandoned each year in Spain, with no policy on birth control or adoption. Over 30% of these dogs are abandoned due to the end of the hunting season. Most of them will be put down at a dog pound.
All kinds of atrocities; bullfights, bull chases or fire-bulls, draw a map of blood, suffering and death in our country every summer. A study carried out by PACMA estimated that 9 million were spent in these activities only in Madrid during 2012.
Spanish farms and slaughterhouses routinely fail to meet the European directives on the rearing and slaughter of animals.
The seriousness of the situation forces us to redouble our efforts PAC MA We denounce the cruel reality faced by animals in Spain We conduct awareness campaigns on: bullfights, adoption, etc.. We develop proposals that equate Spanish legislation to the European

Break a Spear against Toro de la Vega is one of the main campaigns developed by PACMA. It s not just the death of a bull but its chase, the harassment, poking and stabbing in the hands of hundreds of people. A cruel image that has become the symbol of animal abuse in Spain.
Hundreds of people have joined the protests since PACMA started them in Arriving from every Spanish region, the demonstration has become the symbol of social rejection to this celebration. The Toro de la Vega is an icon of animal abuse in Spain. It takes place every September in Tordesillas and leaves nobody indifferent to the cruelty except for those who taken part in the event. Today, an overwhelming majority is against this celebration.
PACMA achieved the largest demonstration in defense of animals ever seen in Spain. Over people joined our Break a Spear march in Madrid
Animal rights and welfare is an issue that all politicians ignore in Spain A political party is required as the legal means to balance this unfairness.

We are part of a growing movement: The Spanish Party for Animals PACMA takes its proposals to the political level.
We develop proposals and reports that catch the attention of the media
PACMA s entry to Parliament would give voice to animals and constitute a more representative and plural parliamentary spectrum The Spanish electoral system grants seats depending on the vote by province, that benefits the major parties. We demand an electoral reform where a seat is granted for the same number of votes no matter from where the votes come from.
With the Fair Elections Act, we would be in the Spanish Congress Current situation: 42,000 votes 99,000 votes 102,000 votes 1 seat 1 seat 0 seat
