Eligibility for Tender. 2.1 Tenderer shall be a manufacturer with GMP certificate for manufacture of Ayurvedic medicines. 2.2 Tenderer should have the annual turn over as given as below during the last year. a) Supplied not less than Rs.100Lakhs to Private Sector. OR b) Supplied not less than Rs.50Lakhs to Govt. Departments/Public Sector Undertakings. 2.3 Sealed covers containing the tender in the prescribed form should be superscribed as OPEN TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY OF AYURVEDA MEDICINES Due on Tender procedure. 3.1a. THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE TENDER FORM SHALL NOT BE REFUNDABLE AND THE TENDER FORM IS NOT TRANSFERABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. b. Separate form shall be used for sister concern, associate, group concern etc., 3.2 a) THE TENDERS SUBMITTED BY FACSIMILE (FAX) OR BY ELECTRONIC MAIL SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE. b) TENDER SHALL BE SENT BY POST / COURIER / IN PERSON BY DEPOSIT IN THE TENDER BOX IN THE CHAIRMAN & MANAGING DIRECTOR S OFFICE. 3.3 The tender shall be accompanied by all relevant particulars / Certificates as required there under. In the absence of the particulars / Certificates, the tenders are liable for rejection. 3

The Cover A & Cover B should be separately sealed, and both the sealed covers shall be kept in an outer envelope and this should be addressed to THE CHAIRMAN & MANAGING DIRECTOR, TAMILNADU MEDICINAL PLANT FARMS AND HERBAL MEDICINE CORPORATION., LTD., ARUMBAKKAM, CHENNAI Cover A will be opened at the Administrative Office of Tampcol at the above address at A.M on in the presence of the Tenderers / representatives of the tenderers who choose to be present. b. Cover B of only those tenderers who satisfy the standard criteria laid down by the Tampcol on the basis of the details furnished by the tenderer in Cover A will be opened. c. All the three sealed covers A, B and outer cover should be super-scribed as TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY OFAYURVEDA MEDICINES. d. Samples of Medicines shall be kept in a separate covers and handed over to the Purchase Section with in the schedule time. COVER A 4.1 a) The tenderer should send the following certificates arranged serially as per the Annexure VI (Checklist), in a separate cover hereafter called Cover A. b) Earnest Money Deposit in the form of Demand Draft. c) Duly attested photocopy of the licence for the products duly approved by the licencing authority for each and every product quoted in the tender. The licence must have been duly renewed upto date and the items quoted shall be clearly marked. d) List of items quoted (The name of Medicines quoted alone should be furnished and the rates of those Medicines should not be indicated in this list). e) Documentary evidence for the constitution of the organization details of the name, address, telephone number, Fax no. address of the firm and of the Managing Director / Partners / Proprietor. f) Authorization letter nominating a responsible officer of the organization with authority to transact business. g) Evidence for each every product quoted in the tender for having manufactured and marketed the products for three years. h) Non conviction certificate for last three years issued by the DRUGS CONTROLLER OF THE STATE and certificate to the effect that the items quoted have not been cancelled. 4

5 COVER B i) Good manufacturing practices certificate issued by the licensing Authority. Tenders shall have good ware housing practices. j) Manufacturer s lab reports for each medicine. k) Documents, if any, to show that the manufacturing unit has been recognized, by WHO, UNICEF, ISO certificate etc., l) Details of technical personnel s involved in the manufacture and testing of medicines (employee name, qualification, experiences) m) Copies of balance sheet and Profit and Loss Account for last three years i.e., , and duly certified by the Auditor. n) The bidder shall furnish the copies of Income Tax Assessment orders for the previous three years or for completed years. (or) Copy of return filed. o) Sales Tax Clearance certificate, as on (As per format given in Annexure I along with a copy of TNGST/VAT, CST and Other State Certificates. p) The tenderer should duly sign each page of the tender terms and conditions. q) Declaration form in Annexure II signed by the tenderer. r) The declaration form in Annexure III signed by the tenderer. s) Undertaking as in the Annexure IV signed by the tenderer. t) The Tenderer claiming to be not liable for a registration or assessment under the T.N.G.S.T. Act 1959 should produce Sales Tax Clearance Declaration in the prescribed form approved in G.O. Ms. No.2416, Revenue dated These Certificates should be sent along with the tender, failing which the tender will be liable to be rejected. u) Details of manufacturing unit as in Annexure V. v) Tampcol reserves the right to reject the tender of blacklisted companies who s past performance with Tampcol was poor due to delayed and erratic supplies, frequent product failures etc., 4.2(a) (b) Price Bid as in the format Annexure - VII shall be sent in a separate sealed cover hereafter called Cover B. The rate quoted per unit price shall be inclusive of Excise duty, freight, Insurance etc., but exclusive of VAT/CST. The present rates of VAT /CST charges shall be indicated in the Annexure VII. 5

6 (c) (d) Each Tender must contain not only the rate but also the total value of each item of supply in the respective columns. The aggregate value of all the items quoted in the Tender shall be furnished. The rate quoted in Tenders should also be expressed in words. The materials should be delivered at our stores mentioned below during office hours only. TAMPCOL, C-29, Sidco Industrial Estate, Alathur, Thiruporur Taluk, Kancheepuram District. (e) The details of rates and manufacturing capacity should also be entered clearly so that they are able to supply the quantity within the specified time as per the tender conditions. (f) All the required sample shall be kept in a separate Cover and submitted along with the tender. 5. EARNEST MONEY DEPOSIT 5.1 The Earnest Money Deposit shall be Rs.25,000/- 5.2 The Earnest Money Deposit shall be paid in the form of Demand Draft only favoring Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corpn., Ltd., Chennai payable at Chennai. This should be enclosed with the tender in Cover A. Earnest Money Deposit in the form of cheque / At par Cheque /cash / postal order will not be accepted EARNEST MONEY DEPOSIT EXEMPTION TO SMALL SCALE INDUSTRIES EMD exemption will be given to Small Scale Industries only and Organizations, which are claiming to be Small Scale Industries, should produce the following documents to claim EMD exemption. a) Certificate from the Director of Industries and Commerce to the effect that it is a Small Scale Industry, Tamil Nadu State. OR b) Competency Certificate from the National Small Industries Corporation The Earnest Money Deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be arranged to be refunded within a reasonable time consistent with rules and regulations in this regard The Earnest Money Deposit of the successful tenderer will be adjusted against the Security Deposit for due performance This Corporation does not accept any liability to return the Earnest Money Deposit amount within a definite time or to allow any interest thereon. 6

7 5.6 If the tenderer fails to adhere to the conditions of the tender or wishes to withdraw when his tender is under process, but before the signing of agreement, his EMD will be forfeited to Tamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited. 5.7 The EMD will not bear interest. 6. SECURITY DEPOSIT 6.1. The successful tenderer shall be required to pay a Security Deposit of 5% of the value of the tender accepted quantity The Security Deposit should be paid in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited payable at Chennai with in 7 days from the receipt of the tender acceptance The Security Deposit will not bear interest The Security Deposit furnished by such tenderer in respect of his tender will be returned to him if there is no damage and upon complete fulfillment of the tender period or the extended period if any to the satisfaction of the Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited Though the Co-operatives societies / Public Sector Undertakings are exempted from payment of Earnest Money Deposit, Security Deposit, they should give an undertaking to pay as penalty an amount equivalent to the amount fixed as Security Deposit in the event of non-fulfillment or non-observance of any of the conditions stipulated in the Tender terms & conditions. 7. AGREEMENT / DOCUMENTATION The tenderer whose tender is accepted shall execute an agreement on a non-judicial stamp paper of value of Rs.50/- or as per act (stamp duty to be paid by the tenderer) with the Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited, Chennai 106 within 7 days from the date of receipt of the intimation by tenderer and that their tender has been accepted. The specimen form of agreement / documents can be obtained from Tampcol. 8. PRICES AND OTHER CONDITIONS 8.1. The details of the required medicines are given in tender schedule (Annexure VII). The quantity mentioned is only the tentative requirement and may increase or decrease as per the decision of the Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited. The rates quoted should not vary with the quantum of the order or the destination. The tenderer has no right to claim for any damage loss and profit in case the ordered quantity is less than the schedule quantity. 7

8 8.2. The Price Schedules (Annexure VII) should be signed by the tenderer at the bottom of each page with the office seal duly affixed and returned along with the tender Cover B Tenders should be typewritten and every correction in the tender should invariably be attested with full signature by the tenderer with date before submission of the tenders to the authorities concerned, failing which the tender will be ineligible for further consideration. Corrections done with correction fluid should also be duly attested Rates inclusive of Excise Duty, transportation, insurance, and any incidental charges, but exclusive of VAT / CST should be quoted for each items etc., separately on door delivery basis according to the unit asked for. Tender for the supply of medicines with conditions like AT CURRENT MARKET RATES shall not be accepted. Handling, clearing, transport charges etc., will not be paid. The deliveries should be made as stipulated in the purchase order placed with successful tenderers. However, in case VAT / CST are applicable the same be indicated in the price bid in the Annexure VII Each tender form as per Annexure VII must contain not only the unit rate but also the total value of each item quoted for supply in the respective columns. The aggregate value of all the items quoted in the tender shall also be furnished To ensure sustained supply without any interruption the Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited, reserves the right to split orders for supplying the requirements among more than one tenderer provided that, the rates and other conditions of supply are equal The rates quoted and accepted will be binding on the tenderer for the stipulated period and any increase in the price will not be entertained till the completion of this tender period In case of tenderers outside the State, C form will be furnished by Tampcol to the firm to claim concessional CST as per rules A Price Preference of fifteen per cent for domestic small industrial units and ten per cent for the Public Sector undertakings of the Govt. in respect of products and quantities manufactured by them will be allowed. NOTE 1. Tender should not be submitted by the organization, which has been blacklisted either by Tampcol or by any other State / Central Government organization. 2. No tenderer shall be allowed at any time on any ground whatsoever to claim revision of or modification in the rates quoted by him. Clerical error, typographical error etc., committed by the tenderers in the tender forms shall not be considered after opening of the tenders. Conditions such as SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY SUPPLIES WILL BE MADE AS AND WHEN SUPPLIES ARE RECEIVED etc., will not be considered under any circumstances and the tenders of those who have given such conditions shall be treated as incomplete and for that reason, shall be summarily rejected. 8

9 9. PACKING 9.1 The medicines shall be supplied in the packaging specified as in the tender schedule and Annexure II. 9.2 The containers preparation should carry the name of the supplier. 9.3 The labels should clearly indicate the preparations are meant for GOVT. SUPPLY ONLY NOT FOR SALE and as per the Act. Specimen of labels and specification of Packing materials are given in the enclosure I, II & III to the Annexure II. 9.4 It should be ensured that only first use packing material of uniform size is used for making supplies. 9.5 All primary packing should be strictly conforming to the specification and standard prescribed in the relevant pharmacopoeia / Act. 9.6 Packing should be able to prevent damage or deterioration during transit. 9.7 All the medicine should be packed in the Food grade materials (Plastic Containers etc.,) / Amber colour pet containers / Blister packing as directed. 10. QUALITY TESTING 10.1 a (i) Medicines mentioned in S. No 1 to 6 of the Tender Price Schedule should be Manufactured only as per the standard formula prescribed in the text book of AYURVEDIC FORMULARY OF INDIA PART I, Published By The GOVT. OF INDIA MINISTRY OF HEALTH AND FAMILY WELFARE, DEPARTMENT OF INDIAN SYSTEMS OF MEDICINE & HOMOEOPATHY, NEW DELHI. (ii) (iii) Medicines mentioned in S. No. 01 to 02 and 4 to 6 of the Tender Price Schedule should comply with the specifications prescribed in the textbook of PHARMACOPOEIAL STANDARDS FOR AYURVEDIC FORMULATIONS PUBLISHED BY CENTRAL COUNCIL FOR RESEARCH IN AYURVEDA AND SIDDHA, NEW DELHI. Details of chapter version, formula and specifications are given in the enclosures I to III to the Tender Price Schedule Annexure VII. (iv) Tenderers should send samples and their lab reports for each medicine mentioned in S. No. 1 to 6 and it will be checked by TAMPCOL with reference to the formula & specifications prescribed and an EXPERT COMMITTEE constituted for this purpose will examine and its decision is final and binding and supplies of medicines should be complied with the specifications prescribed. (v) Regarding, Navayasa 500mg Tabs, the formula and specifications prescribed in the above textbook are available only for Navayasa curna (choornam form not in the form of tablets). Hence, the tenderer should furnish particulars of binding materials added to the formula (Choornam). The standard specifications prescribed and the tenderers Lab Report and samples will be analyzed by TAMPCOL and it will be further examined by the EXPERT COMMITTEE and the Quality Specifications will be documented. Supply should be complied with the specifications documented for this medicine. 10.1b (i) Medicine mentioned in S.No.7 of the Tender Price Schedule should be manufactured only as per the formula and reference text books given in the 9

10 enclosure IV to the Tender Price Schedule Annexure-VII. (ii) Tenderer should also send samples and their Lab Reports for each medicine mentioned in S.No.7 of the Tender Schedule. (iii) Samples of the medicine in S.No.7 will be checked by TAMPCOL with reference to the manufacturer s lab reports and the EXPERT COMMITTEE will examine the samples, Lab Report of the manufacturer and TAMPCOL and decided the quality specifications and its decision is the final and binding. Final Quality Specifications documented will be communicated to the successful tenderer and the supplies of medicines should be complied with the specifications documented. 10 (1) c Samples of supplies in each batch will be chosen at the point of supply or distribution / storage points for testing. The samples will be sent to different laboratories for testing as decided by the TAMPCOL to conform the specifications arrived by the above Committee for medicines in serial no. 3 and conform to the standard specification prescribed in the Pharmacopial standards for Ayurveda Formulations for medicines in serial no. 1 to 2 & 4 to Handling and testing charges will be deducted by TAMPCOL for the above purpose from the future bills of the Tenderer The medicines shall have the active ingredients at the maximum permissible level throughout the shelf life period of the medicines, the samples will be drawn periodically throughout the shelf life period The supplies will be deemed to be completed only certification from laborites. Samples which do not meet quality requirements shall render the relevant batches liable to be rejected. If the samples do not conform to statutory standards, the tenderer will be liable for relevant action under the existing laws and the entire stock should be taken back by the tenderer within a period of 10 days of the receipt of the letter from Tampcol. The stock shall be taken back at the expense of the tenderer. Tampcol has the right to destroy such substandard goods if the tenderer does not take back the goods within the stipulated time. Tampcol shall arrange to destroy the rejected goods within 30 days after the expiry of stipulated period and shall also collect demurrage charges calculated at the rate of 2% per week on the value of the goods rejected till such destruction. Initiating the necessary action on the tenderer and that product shall be blacklisted and no further supplies accepted from him till he is legally cleared. The tenderer shall also not be eligible to participate in Tampcol tenders for supply of such medicines for a period of five subsequent years The tenderer should clearly understand that the decision of the Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited, Chennai, or any Officer authorized by him as to the quality of the supplied medicines shall be final and binding on the tenderer If the sample is declared to be not of standard quality or spurious or adulterated or 10

11 mis-branded, such batch/batches will be deemed to be rejected goods. If any medicines supplied by the tenderer is partially or wholly used or consumed after supply and is subsequently found to be not as per specifications, unsound, inferior in quality or description or are otherwise faulty or unfit for consumption, then the cost of such medicines will be recovered from the tenderer in addition to penalty for the entire batch. If the payment for the supply has already been made for the particular batch / batches, then deduction will be made in the subsequent bills. 11. ACCEPTANCE OF TENDER AND SUPPLY CONDITIONS The Chairman & Managing Director, Tamilnadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited reserves to himself the right to reject the tenders or to accept the tenders for the supply of all medicines or for any one or more of the Medicines tendered for in tender without assigning any reason The Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited will be at liberty to terminate without assigning any reasons thereof the contract either wholly or in part on 30 days notice. The tenderer will not be entitled for any compensation, damages, loss whatsoever in respect of such termination The acceptance of the tenders shall be communicated to the tenderers in writing The tenderer shall be informed delivery schedule and the material should be delivered at Tampcol, C-29, Sidco Industrial Estate, Alathur, Thiruporur Taluk, Kancheepuram District If the supply is not made within the stipulated period fixed in the Purchase order, Tampcol is at liberty to impose a penalty of cut of 1% on the value of the supply if received within 3 weeks after the expiry of the date fixed and beyond 21 days, the purchase order will be treated as automatically cancelled without any further intimation and the material will be purchased from the L2 / L3 parties or from the open market and the cost of difference, if any, will be recovered from the L1 tenderer by adjusting the Security Deposit / Pending bills. If the tenderer habitually delays the supply then action will be initiated against them and will be black listed It shall be the responsibility of the tenderer for any shortages / damages of goods at the time of receipt in Stores. Tampcol is not responsible for the excess stock of medicines received, for which no order is placed All the supplies will be scheduled for the period from the date of acceptance till the completion of the tender in installments, as may be stipulated in the supply order The supplies medicines should have a maximum potency throughout the shelf life period as prescribed in the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 and rules there under and amendments there on. The medicines should be supplied with in 30 days from the date of manufacture The Chairman & Managing Director, Tampcol or his authorized representatives has / have the right to inspect the factories of those companies who have quoted for the tender, before accepting the rate quoted by them or before releasing any orders or at any point of time during the continuance of tender and has also the right to reject the tender or terminate / cancel the orders issued or to take action properly 11

12 based on facts brought out during such inspections In cases where the quantity offered at the lowest price is less than the total Quantity required, the Corporation may, after placing orders with the lowest evaluated tenderer for the entire quantity offered by such tenderer subject to his ability to supply, adopt either or both of the following procedures to procure the balance quantity: - i) The Corporation will negotiate with the next lowest tenderers in strict ascending order of evaluated price and require them to match the price offered by the lowest evaluated tenderer and place orders until the entire quantity required is ordered. ii) Or the Corporation will require all the other eligible tenderers who participated in the tender and offered a price higher than that offered by the lowest evaluated tenderer, to submit sealed offers of the quantity they would be willing to supply at the price quoted by the lowest evaluated tenderer, and thereafter place orders for the remaining required quantity with all those who match the lowest evaluated price such that those who bid lower prices in the original tender get a higher priority for supply. iii) In case the bidders other than the lowest evaluated bidder fail to agree to accept the lowest price or the total quantity offered by them at the price quoted by the tenderer with lowest evaluated price is less than the required quantity the Corporation may place orders for remaining required quantity at different rates with different suppliers in the ascending order of evaluated price until the entire quantity required is covered. Provided that, where different quantities have to be procured at more than one price from one or more tenderers, the Corporation may decide not to procure beyond a price considered economical although the entire quantity originally stated to be required in the tender documents is not ordered In case where two or more tenderers quoted the same price, the Chairman & Managing Director, Tampcol shall split the procurement among such tenderers taking into consideration the experience and credentials of such tenderers The Chairman & Managing Director, Tampcol or representative assure the right to negotiate with the tenderers in a manner considered to be beneficial to the Corporation. 12. PAYMENT PROVISIONS No advance payments towards costs of medicines will be made to the tenderer Payments towards the supply of medicines will be made with in 90 days from the date of receipt of materials along with bills, manufacturer lab report etc., test report, Expert Committee report, Drug Testing Lab report etc., No claims shall lie against the Tamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited, Chennai in respect of interest on Earnest Money Deposit or on Security Deposit or for late payment of bills due to any reasons. 12

13 12.4. Payment towards cost of medicines will be considered only on the basis of report from government analyst or approved laboratories entrusted with work by the Chairman & Managing Director, TAMPCOL by conforming the specifications in the manufacturers lab test report and also to confirm the specifications arrived by the Committee mentioned in paras 10.1 (a) 10.1 (b) & 10.1 (c) above DEDUCTION IN PAYMENTS If the supply is received in damaged condition, it shall not be accepted. Short supply will be accepted only after deducting the proportionate amount on the total value of bill by the Corporation. 13. PENALTIES 13.1 (a) A tenderer may withdraw their tender after submission provided that written notice of withdrawal is received by Tampcol prior to the deadline prescribed for submission of tender. (b) (c) (d) If the successful tenderer fails to execute the agreement and / or to deposit the required Security deposit within the time specified or withdraw his tender after the intimation of the acceptance of his tender has been sent to him or owing to any other reasons, he is unable to undertake the contract, his contract will be cancelled and the EMD deposited by him along with his tender shall stand forfeited to Tampcol. In case of the Small Scale Industries those exempted from payment of EMD and fail to adhere to the Terms and conditions of the tender, the firm will be disqualified to participate in the tender for the next five years. If the supply is not made within the stipulated period fixed in the Purchase order, Tampcol is at liberty to impose a penalty of cut of 1% on the value of the supply if received within 3 weeks after the expiry of the date fixed and beyond 21 days, the purchase order will be treated as automatically cancelled without any further intimation and the material will be purchased from the L2 / L3 parties and the cost of difference, if any, will be recovered from the L1 tenderer by adjusting the Security Deposit / Pending bills. If the tenderer habitually delays the supply then action will be initiated against them and will be black listed If any articles or things supplied by the tenderer have been partially or wholly used or consumed after supply and are subsequently found to be in bad odour, unsound, inferior in quality or description or are otherwise faulty or unfit for consumption, then the contract price or prices of such medicines or things will be recovered from the tenderer, if payment had already been made to him. Other wise the tenderer will not be entitled to any payment whatsoever for such Ayurvedic medicines. For infringement of the stipulations of the contract or for other justifiable reasons, the contract may be terminated by the Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited, and the tenderer shall be liable for all losses sustained by the Tamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited, in consequence of the termination which may be recovered personally from the tenderer or from his properties, as per rules Non-performance or breach of contract provisions will disqualify a firm or tenderer to participate in the tender for the next five years. 13

In case of the firm, if any one or more of the partners thereof dies / dissolve or adjudicated as insolvent during the continuance of the contract, Tampcol shall be at liberty to terminate the contract. 15. The contract should not be sublet or given to other parties in any manner. 16.a Clarification of Tender document: - At any time after the issue of the tender documents and before the opening of the tender, the Chairman & Managing Director, Tampcol may make any changes, modifications or amendments to the tender documents and shall send intimation of such change to all those who have purchased the original tender documents. b. In case any one tenderer asks for a clarification to the tender documents before 48 hours of the opening of the Tender, the Chairman & Managing Director, Tampcol shall ensure that a reply is sent and copies of the reply to the clarification sought will be communicated to all those who have purchased the tender documents without identifying the source of the query. 17. In all the above conditions, the decision of the Chairman & Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Medicinal Plant Farms and Herbal Medicine Corporation Limited, shall be final and binding. 18. DISPUTE: If any dispute between the supplier and Tampcol arises in regard to any claim or liability which did not cover by the Terms and conditions of the contract the same shall be referred to an arbitrator to be named and appointed by the Chairman & Managing Director of Tampcol. Any request to refer to an arbitrator to be made by the supplier should be within a period of 6 months after expiry of the supply contract and the arbitrator shall conduct arbitration under the Arbitration Act 1940 only and the arbitrator shall pass an award which shall be final conclusive and binding upon the supplier and the Tampcol and the Courts at Chennai. 19. 18 ENCLOSURE III TO ANNEXURE II 1. SCHEDULE FOR PACKAGING OF MEDICINES 1. No corrugate package should weigh more than 15kgs (ie., product + inner carton + corrugated box). 2. All corrugated boxes should be of A grade paper ie., Virgin. 3. All items should be packed only in first hand boxes only. 4. All items should be packed in HDPE plastic containers / Pet containers / Blister of Food grade as directed FLUTE: 5. The Corrugated boxes should be of narrow flute. JOINT: 6. Every box should be preferably single joint and not more than two joints. STITCHING: 7. Every box should be stitched using pairs of metal pins with an interval of two inches between each pair. The boxes should be stitched and not joined using calico at the corners. FLAP: 8. The flaps should uniformly meet but should not over lap each other. The flap when turned by should not crack. TAPE: 9. Every box should be sealed with gum tape running along the top and lower opening. CARRY STRAP: 10. Every box should be strapped with two parallel nylon carry straps (they should intersect).
