Nos. 13 & 14 are compulsory d) Candidates are expected to use case law and illustrations (8 X 8 = 64) 1. Elaborate upon the meaning of common intention and compare it with common object under the Indian Penal Code, Dacoity is one of the few offences in the penal code which is punishable at different stages in different ways. Explain. 3. Explain in what situations the right of private defence of the human body extends to the voluntary causing of death to another. 4. Ignorance of fact is excusable, ignorance of law is not. Examine this statement, including its exceptions, in the context of the IPC, 1S Write short notes on: (a) Consent as understood in the IPC, 1860 (b) Commission of theft.
