6 The Dutch Civic Integration Programme Civic Integration Programme: Mandatory exams for all refugees who have been granted asylum in NL. Includes Dutch language and knowledge of Dutch society Programme can be followed at refugee s own pace, but exams must be passed within 3 years. As of 1 Jan 2015, new exam included: Orientation on the Dutch labour market Aim: To provide refugees with knowledge on their background and their options on entering the Dutch labour market. All refugees may apply for credential evaluation through IDW. This is paid for by DUO, the Executive Agency of the Dutch MoE. 6

7 Assessment of refugees educational background Refugee may apply for: Credential evaluation educational documents are submitted credential evaluator decides that documents are sufficient Indication of educational level no educational documents are provided d credential evaluator decides that documents are insufficient No costs involved for applicant. Funding for EP-Nuffic is provided by DUO, the Executive Agency of the Dutch MoE. 7

8 Application form for Indication Provided upon request only. Applicant must actively provide information rather than tick boxes. Other supporting docs (e.g. student card) are also welcomed. Sworn statement 8

9 Indication of educational level (front) Ms XXX has declared that she has obtained the abovementioned qualification. She was unable to provide any documents to support this (or: she was only able to provide document XXX). 9

10 Indication of educational level (rear) Status: Non binding recommendation only. Indication of educational level: Issued to refugees based on information provided by themselves. The applicant was unable to produce any educational documents. The applicant has signed the application form to declare that all information is true and correct. 10
