7 The German IAB-BAMF-SOEP-Refugee Survey Population Persons who came to Germany between 1st of January 2013 and 31st of January 2016 and applied for asylum: Asylum seekers Individuals granted asylum, recognized refugees or with subsidiary protection Individuals whose asylum claims have been rejected but who are permitted to remain in the country temporarily with the status of Duldung Sampling via German Central Register of Foreigners (AZR), access limited to BAMF-Research Centre Rother OECD Page 6
