1 PROGRAM Refugee-Solidarity ( ) In Diyarbakir / Turkey Arriving of the participants in Diyarbakir First orientation in the hostel Get to know the participants who already arrived Accommodating, shower, tea Welcome Evening after everybody arrived (short speeches, getting to know each other, games) Official opening: Aims and objectives of the project, questions about the program Getting to know each other on a personal level in mixed small groups and in the hole group through different activities Team building activities Wishes, fears and questions about the project & program collection, exchange and discussion Developing rules, splitting tasks for the next days Situation of the conflict between Kurds and Turkish government Security - Rules coffee & tea First sightseeing, collecting first impressions about Diyarbakir sharing first impressions about being in turkey, in Diyarbakir, the group, the hostel Kurdish Cultural Evening Stories, music, food, dances, quiz, information & games about Kurdistan and the Kurdish culture. Also a presentation about the organization the Kurdish participants belong to Workshop about the actual social and political Situation in Diyarbakir & Kurdistan/Turkey and the current refugee situation in the Middle East and especially in Turkey, answering the following questions: Form where the refugees came to Turkey. Why did they come? What is the situation of them in Turkey? What is their perspective? How is the situation right now in their homeareas Questions and Discussions A guest from Refugee-Camp will be present also to give his or her/his perspective.

2 Visiting the refugee-camp 10 kilometer outside of the city.(about 1500 refugees are living in this camp, mostly jedisic Kurds from Shengal Region). Program in this order: Getting a tour around the camp, getting to know the structure and infrastructure of the camp. Talking with a social-worker of the camp about the psychological and social situation of the refugees. Divided in four groups the participants are going to meet with refugees to ge to know their situation and personal stories. Final Talk with the social worker about the children-activities that are planed during the next days in the camp. Seeing the places where the activities will take place. Presentation of the project and the international delegations to the refugees so they now what to expect during this two days Going back to Diyarbakir / sharing impressions about the visit in the refugee-camp German/Serbian Cultural Evening Stories, music, food, dances, quiz, information & games about Germany. Also a presentation about the organization the German participants belong to Input: Workshop/Input about the refugee-situation worldwide 2015: Worldwide about 60 million people are refugees. This is nearly 1 % of the world population. What are the reasons to become a refugee, what countries are most effected. Divided in four groups with representatives of each participating country Exchange about the situation in the countries of the participants: How many refugees do life in my country and where do they come from? How is their situation (accommodation, social care) Situation of refugee-children in my country Are there any efforts done to integrate them into the society? Are they allowed to work? What is the attitude of the local population in your country towards them? Is the civil society actively supporting the refugees? Is the situation of refugees a big issue in society, politics and media? How are government and opposition reacting on this topic? Did in History people from my countries became refugees & did in history refugees came already to my country In between lunch and little breaks afternoon Visiting the municipality of Diyarbakir & Reception by the major of Diyarbakir.

3 Presentation by the city of Diyarbakir: How the city of Diyarbakir is dealing with the refugeesituation in their own community. 2. part of sightseeing tour Romanian Cultural Evening Stories, music, food, dances, quiz, information & games about Romania. Also a presentation about the organization the Romanian participants belong to Presentation about: International rights & laws (the UN Refugee-convention from 1951) Who is officially a refugee? What are the rights of refugees? What are the obligations of the 147 countries who signed the UN Refugee-convention towards refugees? What other international laws are dealing with this issue? Workshop: In a form of roleplay the participants are preparing themselves for situations, when people are talking racist or disparaging about refugees and immigrants. Participants learn how to deal with such situations and how to communicate well and constructive. Afterwards we will go on an excursion, starting at Newroz-Place with a picknick for lunch and going by busses to the dam of Egil, seeing village-life and the country-side on the way, going on a boat trip, time for swimming in the lake. Bulgarian Cultural Evening Stories, music, food, dances, quiz, information & games about Bulgaria. Also a presentation about the organization the Bulgarian participants belong to Mid Term Evaluation How do I feel like so far? How do I like the group? What did I learn? What surprised me? What do I expect/wish for the next days? Input & Workshop about the following questions: How to develop activities for children. How to create a good atmosphere for children. Non-verbal communication with children. Non-formal Education by new experiences Goals of such activities

4 Exchange of experience of the participating organizations/participants working with children and organizing children activities. (During the afternoon one social worker from the refugee-camp, who is working with the children in the camp, will participate in following meeting to give feedback. Each participating organization prepared in before coming to Diyarbakir two different 2-hour -workshops for children that they are going to realize during the next days for children in the refugee-camp. Now they are going to present their workshop-concepts: Activity Age of children, number of children that are able to participate Goals of the activity Afterwards the other participants, group-leader and the social-worker from the refugee-camp will give their feedback about the presented ideas. We will inform each other and the partners in the camp already in before about the idea, so they can already give earlier their feedback In the country-groups: Final preparation of the workshops, taking in account the feedback of others. Last preparation of the material for the workshops. (One Kurdish participant is joining each country-delegation during the preparation and during the workshops to assist and to translate for the children. 1 2 refugees will hopefully help during the workshops also with the idea later on to continue with the workshops) Evening in Kurdish families Arrival in the refugee-camp Last preparations at the place Opening with all participants & children Full day running workshops with kids in the camp (The exact concept of this two days will be developed during the pre-meeting) (Each delegation will prepare 2 different workshops. Each workshop will take place four times during the two days. In total 48 workshops will take place during the days with around 960 participating children.)

Kids will show what they learned (juggling ) Evening in the camp The participants will stay for the evening in the refugee-camp to socialise more with the refugees, the children and the people working in the camp. Going back to Diyarbakir in the later evening Final Evaluation in mixed small groups and also in the hole group. Exchange of own impressions about the work with the refugee-children & the exchange program, being in Diyarbakir, the group, the learning-outcome. How can we integrate young refugees at home in the activities of our own organizations? How can we support refugees in our own environment? Erasmus + and it s options to finance common future projects Collecting and discussing project-ideas for the future cooperation of the participating organizations free time including dinner on own initiative in the city Final Evening at a nice Kurdish location with music Also partners and active people from refugee-camp we want to invite to this evening.
