It aims to ensure that students understand the integration of the EU, its institutional structure and integration process, and European Social Model in the context of social politics and interaction between social policies in member states, and also the adaptation process of Turkey to EU. 2 This is a MA Course at the Department of EU Studies at Dokuz Eylul University. The main objective of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding on EU social policy, European Social Model, and the connections between European Union and Member States social policies and the effects of EU s social policy on Turkey as a candidate country. Employment Policies in the EU and Turkey This is a PhD course at the Department of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Dokuz Eylul University. This course aims to provide the students with the understanding of the basic feature of labour markets in EU and Turkey, employment policy and the effects of EU s employment policy on member states employment policies and also its evaluation in respect to Turkey as a candidate country.
