2 What is Human Trafficking? Human trafficking involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to obtain labor or commercial sex. Any minor (under the age of 18) engaged in commercial sex is a victim of human trafficking according to federal law, regardless of whether there is force, fraud, or coercion. Victims can be any age, race, ethnicity, gender, nationality, or socioeconomic background. Human trafficking happens everywhere, including the U.S., in cities, suburbs, and rural areas. Labor trafficking encompasses domestic servitude and can happen in a variety of industries such as agriculture, traveling sales crews, restaurants/food service, and construction.

3 PARTNERSHIPS Blue Campaign partners can include: Workers on the frontlines first responders, social workers, community volunteers, healthcare providers, teachers, law enforcement and private security A range of organizations private, public and non-profit who are committed to social responsibility and who are willing to speak out Faith based networks and houses of worship Members of the community willing to volunteer in this fight

5 PARTNERSHIP Leverage AUS size, reach, relationships and workforce Co-sponsor industry events, white papers, webinars, meetings, etc. Train AUS employees using Blue Campaign materials Particular emphasis on Security Professionals working in those environments where they are more likely to encounter victims (e.g., Public Transit, Airports, Malls) Educate local partners (facilities managers; security professionals; HR; Risk & Legal; First Responders) Partner with local law enforcement to make our joint efforts LOCAL

9 WHAT CAN ONE PERSON DO? 2 out-of-state residents lure a woman to the east coast from CA with promises of easy money Was sent to meet clients via Uber On one trip the victim confided to the Uber driver that she was part of a human trafficking ring and was being used for commercial sex The Uber driver contacted police His actions helped break up a human trafficking / prostitution ring that operated in at least 5 states
