Christian F. Why Thanksgiving is Important Do you know that on Thanksgiving you have to be nice and talk about how you re thankful? Well if you want to think of some stuff you re thankful about then keep reading. I m really thankful about having a home with air conditioning, computers, and a basement I needed these three because air conditioning is important so you will be warm during the winter. I need a computer so i can do my homework or so i can search up stuff. I have a basement so I can be safe during a tornado or put stuff I don t have space for my room. I am thankful because I have enough to eat food like steak, pancakes, and sandwiches. I wanted to write theses down because these three are my favorite kinds of food that we usually get every day to eat and I get two steaks for dinner and there is a lot of flour, cows, and there is a lot of cucumbers and ham in this country. Some luxuries that I am really happy about are Xbox 360,Iphone 6,and a watch. I put these three because I like to play on my Xbox. I-Phone 6 is a pretty cool phone. I thought watches are really important for life so I know what time I need to go to the bus. So when it s Thanksgiving never pout or cry if you want something because you should think in your head why you are thankful. Jack S. Let s Be Thankful! Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful and appreciate the good things. A home, a family, and school are some things I should mention that I appreciate. I am thankful that I have a home. Sometimes I feel bad for the people that are homeless and then I think about the fact that I am lucky to have a home. It provides me with a warm temperature in the winter which if I didn t have would freeze. My home also provides me with my own room. Some people don t have much money and they have to buy small houses with 1 or 2 rooms which then they wouldn t have any privacy. The 3rd thing that a home gives me is a roof over my head. Like I said, some people might not have enough money for a good home so they may not have the same comforts I do. A home is not just a roof over my head, its a place where I feel safe with my family. My family is the thing I am most thankful for. They give me unconditional love, which to me is something that I need and that I am grateful for. Everybody needs help sometimes, my family is always there to give it to me when I need it. When my entire family gets together, we always have fun no matter where we are or what we are doing! I am extremely thankful for the school that I go to. It gives me a good education. The teachers are fun, helpful and strict and all of their qualities give me a great understanding of what I need to do. I m thankful for our amazing library and librarians, because we have a large variety of books to choose from and the librarians help us choose what books match our interests. I think of my classmates as my friends and I respect and am grateful for all of them. I m not only thankful for some things, I am thankful for everything that is good in my life and learn to deal with the bad.

What Tom Did By: Charles, Erdet, Aidan, Ronnie, and, Salman Tom did something great. Tom did something more awesome than anyone could imagine.what did Tom do you ask? It all started Monday morning at 7:00a.m. Tom got out of bed and felt his stomach grumbling. He went to the kitchen but there was no food to eat.the little turkey was so hungry that he could eat a whole zebra. Tom grew hungrier and hungrier until he couldn t stand it. So he went to go to the grocery store. He bought all the food and shared it with nobody. When the townspeople noticed that he wasn t sharing, the townspeople got angry and left the town.tom was lonley, very very lonely. So Tom returned the food but got hungry very very hungry, so Tom searched the woods hoping to find food but couldn t find any. But Tom didn t give up even when Tom saw an imposter that said wanted: Indian, turkeys beware! He kept walking and found some food but 2 minutes later the Indian came. Tom was curious Can I eat you? I am very hungry. The Indian just smiled and said Can I eat you? And when Tom heard those words Tom ran as quick as a dash, but the Indian was getting closer and closer. Just before the Indian got Tom he jumped into a bush. When Tom came back to the village he saw that the turkeys were in trouble so Tom helped the turkeys by showing character when Tom was all done all the turkeys were thanking him. Suddenly Tom wasn t so hungry anymore, so Tom went to an amusement park and he rode the rides with his new friends. Thanksgiving Feast, here we come! 8 Leslie Z. Things to be Thankful Makayla L. The Key Of Being Thankful You should be thankful of what you have because there are people that don t have what you have so stop complaining about your life. The first reason I am thankful for is that I have a healthy body because I know there are people who can t jump because they don t have both of their feet and they can t run and that makes me feel bad because they see their friends running and then they feel left out. Also I am thankful for having both of my arms and having no sickness because there are people in Africa that are sick and poor and homeless and some people just do not care. I mean put yourself in their shoes how they feel. The other reason I am thankful for is having an amazing school because I know that there are schools that don t have nice strong walls and floors also there are schools that have very bad bullies and that don t follow the pillars. Also there are schools that don t have computers and wish they could used them because they get bored of doing paper and pencil but the most important thing is that most kids don t get is good education so that means be happy of what you have because those kids don t no how to read or write and wished they had what you have. The last thing I am thankful for is I have luxuries and Africa kids and people are bored because they don t have ipads, phones, or play sports so that s why you should donate clothes and shoes and last toys. Also never just ignore them because they will never be sorry for what you have done to them and it won t hurt you just to give something that belongs to you and give it to someone else and that will make you a good person and a good leader. Sometimes when i go to dinner I sometimes don t like what I eat but sometimes when I think to myself in my mind I say I should be thankful for the food I have so when I do that I say I don t care what food I have. Sometimes I wake up in a bad mood I yell at my mom and dad and family and they are nice people too when you think to yourself the people that do not have family or friends.. I have a good school because they have what we need to learn some kids do not have good schools to learn. The next time you are being mean to one of your siblings or friends or family think to yourself some people don t have a family and friends. The reason why you should be thankful is because you have everything some people just have one pair of everything that s it and you probably have more than that person so the next time you see a homeless person think to yourself you have more than that person and you should give some of the things you don t need and give it away. Being thankful is very important the next time you are at a store and just your sister gets something don t complain be thankful for the things you have, that your sister doesn t have, and some people don t even have a penny to buy things. I hope you have learned to be thankful and never complain of you life. Also there are kids and people that wish to have what you have so if you have a lot of things why don t you give some also never turn your back on people that need a job or others things too.

Thanksgiving and what we are thankful for Thanksgiving is all about giving thanks to things that you are thankful for. Some things you can be thankful for is having a school. Having enough food and a family. But there are always more ways to be thankful. I have a great family. I m thankful for my family because they take really good care of me. They feed me really good and healthy foods. Also they take me out to eat the mall and to my friend s houses. Another thing is that they buy me clothes and stuff i need like a type of medicine. That s why I m thankful to have a great family. I am thankful that I have a great school because I have a great teacher. Also my school helps us feel comfortable. Another reason why I am thankful for my school because they help me learn instead of doing an after school program to help me learn. These are some reasons why I am thankful for my school I am thankful for having enough to eat. There are always something on the table for dinner, I say that because some families do not get that opportunity. I am thankful for having a bunch of food for Thanksgiving and that comes from hard work. I am glad that all my relatives work hard to be so wealthy and have so much food to be happy. That is why I am thankful to have enough food. So if you are thankful for anything, if you are than you can write or tell about it because I m sure someone would love to hear about it. I love Thanksgiving and I hope you do too!!! By: Alyza, Reagan, Jenna, Christina IRST WE RAKE THE LEAVES T FALL WE PLAY EAVES ARE FUN EAVES CAN EAT AAYAN GRADE 1

Reasons to Be Thankful Gino C. Mia C. I m Thankful Because... I am thankful for too many things! Sadly, I can only write about these three: luxuries, good school, and having a healthy body. Luxuries I have may be something as simple as a comfy couch. If I did not have a comfortable couch, I would not be as happy as I am now. I own a lot of toys. I know in many parts of the country, there are children that can not afford toys. I am thankful to afford toys. I have a swing set in my backyard. It is on it s last leg (if you know what I mean) but I am lucky to have anything in my backyard at all. I am happy to say that I have a healthy body. I m not in a wheelchair. If I was (which I am not) it would be difficult for me to play soccer. I wouldn t even be able to kick the ball! Playing soccer does keep me active. This is another reason I m healthy! I am also healthy because I eat fruits and vegetables every day. An apple a day keeps the doctor away! I go to a good school. My school has laptops and computers. In fact, I am typing this document on a laptop. At my school, we do something called hot lunch. It means we get lunch from Buona Beef every Wednesday. We eat things like burgers, sandwiches, pizza, and hot dogs. Our school can afford field trips. We might go on two per year. If you want to be rich and famous, and you already have one dollar, you should be happy to have any money at all. When I play soccer I never realize how much people can t play because they don t have money. So that s why all of us should be thankful for what we can do but don t be jealous of your friend because you might have things you can t do that no one else can. I am thankful that I have some luxuries that others do not. I have some big t.v.s in my house that I respect by cleaning it when I have time to or not playing with the ball in the house so it would not break. I am able to go in, The Columbus Day Parade. It is awesome because it is on State Street in Chicago,Il. I am thankful because I see people that can t even brush their teeth. Sometimes I wine that I can t go the hole because were first but I should think to myself some people can t even go into the parade. I can play soccer when ever I want and some people can t even afford to buy a soccer ball. We should be really thankful we can do this. I have a Perfect school. My school has Wacky Wednesdays so they could support our school and make our school powerful. We have well trained teachers that are smart and intelligent so we have smart students that get A+ on their sheets. In order to have a sheet is good you need computers. Our computers are safe for children so no hackers can get in and see what were doing. I have a healthy body. My body is really healthy because it has 2 legs and 2 arms. I am really thankful because some people don t have 2 legs so they are in wheelchairs and they can not play any sports because they can t run or they can t play soccer. If you do not have 2 arms you would not be able to throw a ball or anything. So we should be thankful that we are not one of those people. I am thankful too that I have healthy lungs so I would not have a sickness. I saw some people that have lung cancer in the hospital and I felt really bad for those people. I am thankful for even more things than I need to. But I was only able to pick 3 I have luxuries, I have a good school, and I have a healthy body.

Isabella N. Reasons to be Thankful There are many things I am thankful for. These things that I am thankful for mean how I feel bad for other kids that can t do this or don t have this. One reason I am thankful for is that I have a good school. Our school is a good school because we have useable washrooms. Our school is also a good school because we have luxuries at our school that we get to learn with such as computers\laptops, P.E. equipment, etc.. Lastly, our school is a good school is because we have a good built school so we have nothing to be embarrassed about. The second reason I am thankful for is that I have a home. One thing I have in my house that I need is a bed and other luxuries. Another thing I have in my house that I need is I have a warm house. The last thing I have in my house that I need is a well built house that doesn t break every once in a while. The last reason I am thankful for is that I have a healthy body. One thing I like that I have a healthy body is that I get to participate in different sports that I like. Another, reason I am I am happy that I have a healthy body is I don t have to stay in hospitals if I can go to school and learn important things. The last thing I am thankful for that I have a healthy body is that I have a peaceful life. Sana M. Times to be Thankful Have you ever thought your life was miserable? Well it s not! Many people are poor and don t even have a home! They die because they don t have money to buy medicine if they are sick! I am thankful I have a good life. One reason why I have a good life is because I have a good family. A family that cares so much. All the love they gave for me. How much they sacrificed their life for me. I could never think of getting separated from this family because that is how much I love my family. I could remember all the trips me and my family went on because they love me. Another reason why I have a good life is because I have a good school. I have wonderful, amazing, awesome, caring teachers. If I don t understand they ll explain to me. Also my school rocks because we have lots of computers for each class. Some schools don t even have any computers. The last reason why I have a good life is because I have a good home. In my house I have my own room! Some people have to share a crowded room with someone else! In my house I have a 3d T.V.! Also I have a computer! Think about people who don t have any of this! Now take some time to think about people who don t have any of this! Now do you think our life is miserable? I think you should never think your life is miserable. There are many ways you may be thankful for but I think these are is the most important. Now it is your turn to write a reasons to be thankful for paper.

Fall is wonderful Fall is wonderful why you ask. Well fall is wonderful by its breeze.another thing is that fall so wonderful. You bounce right in a big, large pile of leaves right after getting them in a in that large pile.there s holidays like Thanksgiving where you have feast.also there s Veterans day where you thank the people that died to serve our country. It also is pretty cold outside but I say that fall is still great even though it has cold weather. By Wajihah Thanksgiving Writing I am thankful for many things. The three main things I am thankful for are having luxuries, having a great family, and a good school. Every day when I come home from school my family is there to greet me. My family cooks me my favorite food. For example, juicy barbecue ribs, homemade pizza and delicious pasta. My family includes me into family activities. My family takes me to sporting events. One luxury that I am thankful for is my own Ipad because I enjoy interacting with my friends. Another luxury I am thankful for is my T.V. because I can see all of the sports games live. The last thing that i am thankful is my xbox360 because other people might not have this cool of a device. A homeless person would not have anything that is a luxury. At my school my teacher teaches me new things. For example my teacher teaches me about genes, traits and heredity. Another thing my teacher teaches me is how to say words and spell words. One other thing the teacher teaches us is how to use graphs add numbers and use algebraic thinking. We have a nice principal because he finds the time to come and read to us. We have specials and in other schools they might not have specials. The teachers are very nice they do fun games school related. My family is the best, My school is awesome, and I am thankful for all the luxuries that I have. I am very thankful for what I have and get from people. By Aidan grade 4

Time for Being Thankful By: Abby P. Having a healthy body, a family, and a home, are all things that we should be very thankful for. We should all be thankful for the awesome and great things that we have. Being healthy or having a healthy body is all I could really ask for because you re not sick. Not being sick is good because being sick makes you feel really bad you can not go to school sometimes and that affects your education and that is not so good. Another reason having a healthy body is good because you do not have a disease. One disease is cancer there are many types of cancer. Cancer has made many people die or get very sick and that is very sad. The last reason I am thankful for having a healthy body is I do not have to worry about getting other kids sick and I worry about that a lot and I am sure many other people do too. I have a family and other kids do not, this is something am very thankful for. Another reason is that I have a mom and a dad. Other kids do not have a mom and a dad they have either died, they are in the air force or when you were a kid you were sent to an orphanage. The last reason I am glad is because I am loved a lot. Some children are not being loved in their family, the reasons people are not loved in there family is child abuse which is when you are beaten for no reason or your parents wish they have never had you. I wish some people would not make their child suffer. The very last reason I am thankful for everything that I have is I have a home. This comes in handy when I want too be cool in the summer and when I want to be warm in the winter this is because if airconditioning. Also too keep cool you can drink something cool. Also too keep warm I have blankets to cover up under also a bed to sleep in. Also having a home comes in handy when you have shelter because some people do not have a place to live they live outside, live in stores or they live in the streets.the last reason having a home comes in handy is I have a place to bond with my family because if all the memories we have shared were in our home. Overall we should be thankful for the great things that we have instead of worrying about what we don t have. So next time you want something your friends have think about the people that want it also but have no money to buy it but you do. ALLING APPLES EAVES BY GABI GRADE 1 What Does Fall Mean? 19 Danny R. Things to be Thankful for Everybody has something to be thankful for. There are many things for me to be thankful, but I only picked three to talk about.. My things to be thankful are I have a house, a good school, and luxuries. My first reason to be thankful is that I have a house. In my house there is air conditioning and a bed. I am thankful for air conditioning because when it s hot outside I can come inside and cool off. AAHH. If I did not have a bed I would have to sleep on the floor. The floor in my house is not so soft so I prefer to sleep in a bed. The next reason for me to be thankful for is that I have a great school. At my school we get computers and hot lunch. I like hot lunch because we get pizza and other good food. We also get chocolate milk, apple juice, or water for hot lunch. And after the teacher calls our table we can buy extra food or drinks. I also like the computers because we can type out stuff instead of writing out stuff. We can also play games on the computers sometimes. The last reason for me to be thankful for is that I have luxuries. The luxuries I have are a Playstation 3 and jerseys. My playstation is a great luxury because I can play many games on it. I can invite my friends, so I can play against them even if I am at my house and they are at their house. My jerseys are awesome because I can wear them to my great school. Those are the three reasons that I am thankful for. Everyone has something to be thankful for. What are you thankful for a home, a good school, luxuries, or other things? Esha A. Being Thankful How would you feel if you were alone on the streets, nothing to eat, none to support you, no money? If you think about it more and more you will know that everything you have now might not be what other people have! You are really lucky! If you don t have a family it would be terrible for me, some people are orphans(those are people who don t have a family). Imagine a day where a person lost it s job, none to support him, none to cheer him up, none to even thinking of lending a hand? Just watching a person like that must make me sad, helping him must be something nice to do but having a family would have been much better. Don t you think having a family is great, I am thankful! Cka! Cka! sorry I am coughing, I have got a fever but I am not complaining because I know that other kids might even have a broken leg! I know that doesn t sound comfortable but we should be thankful for what we have now. I have seen people like that and I want to help them. I am going to the doctor any minute now but other people might not even be going, I am sure I will be better It s a minor problem but some people might even have a major problem! Giving thanks for having a healthy body is a very good choice. I don t ever run out of money I thought I am very lucky do other people think if other people have the same exact money as them? Some people might only have a penny! I am thankful I don t ever run out money, buying no luxuries might be something bad for other people who have money but those poor people can not even buy a bread, they don t have their needs!.one time what happened was that we had went to the store (my family and I) and when we had bought our needs a man came up, begging us for money and I am pretty sure that was a hot day, me begging in the hot weather would be bad for me! I will never run out of money and I hope others don t either. I always tell myself I am very thankful, I have a family, I have how much money I need, and I have a healthy body! Now if you see a kid on the street will you give it food or will you ignore it? What are you thankful for?

I Love Thanksgiving! By: Reagan I love Thanksgiving! Turkey on my table is the best. It s so juicy and tender. I don t like stuffing, I do like mashed potatoes. It s fun to have everyone over and talk, a lot! All the food is so good that my grandma makes. We play around and have a good time. I Love Thanksgiving! The Turkey Trot By: Kailey Grade 5 Once upon a time there was a turkey named Tim. He was excited because he was going to be in his first ever turkey trot race. He didn t know that if he won the race he would get a metal if he was in first place. All the turkeys lined up at the starting line, waiting for the staring signal. BANG! Tim took off. The crowd cheered on their favorite turkeys. He ran as fast as he could thinking, I want to get that metal. Tim took first place, and won the metal. Fall By: Michael Grade 2 I see the leaves falling down the tree. I see a turkey in the leaves. Man does he look good! I have to eat him for Thanksgiving. I need an idea to get the turkey home to eat for Thanksgiving dinner. I will also eat bread, potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, and even more stuffing for Thanksgiving!

Peyton S. Fall Fall is great Fall is fun It is for everyone But what you see is much better you only need a light sweater Go Fall! Go Fall! By: Rushil S. Malak grade 4 What am I thankful for. Hmmm..Lets see well I am thankful for my parents and my school. One thing I am thankful for is my parent because they are able to pay for my clothes. My parent also are able to have a roof over my head and also to have a heathy. Oh yes don t forget they also pay for the food we eat. Another reason is school because if we didn t go to school we wouldn t be smart. I am thankful for that because the teacher at the schools are helpful. Also because of the good school building. Also don t forget the computers. Those are some examples why I am thankful. What s yours? Michael grade 4 What are you lucky for? For me its everything I have! I always have food, thats one reason why i'm thankful I have water. I always have food. We have more food than other countries. I am thankful for my parents. They take me to do fun things. Pay for sports. They put a roof over my head. I am very thankful for everything I have! Reasons to be Thankful I am so thankful for everything I have. You should be thankful to. There are some families that have no food no houses, so stop complaining and think about all the things you do have. Not everyone has a healthy body like my best friends brother who died last month. She was so unhappy when it happened but she knew he needed to go. I feel bad that happened I can t imagine what would happen if I was sick.it would be so sad so we are so lucky to have 2 arms and 2 legs and no diseases. I go to a good school that has good education and good teachers they have assemblies there was an assembly last week it was about bucket filling and bucket dipping. And on Wednesdays they provide hot lunch from Bona beef. Our school is awesome. I am so thankful. I am so lucky to have a family they always care for me they give me lots of love. I am so lucky to have a family some people don t even have families so when you are mad and you wish you did not have a family that s not true your family loves you and so does your pet if you have one. Man there are so many things to be thankful for. You are so lucky to have a family, good school, and a healthy body. Be thankful for everything you have.

Alessandro S. Be Thankful Did you know that some families are poor and don t anything fun to do? So everybody should be thankful for what they have. One reason is that you have a house. When you have a house you get your own room and some families don t get that. Other families don t have a comfortable couch but i do but others don t. I also have a nice kitchen so my mom could cook very good food for us. Other families don t have a big kitchen because they can t afford it. Kids and adults should appreciate if they have a home because some people do not. Another reason is that me and my family have enough food to eat and some other families don t have any food to eat. I have fruits and vegetables and I can eat them whenever I want. Other families can t eat whenever they want because they don t want to starve. I also have pasta with sauce, cheese, and meatballs and guess what, other families don t have that. Me and my family also can have steak and it tastes really good. But some families can t afford to buy meat, so people should donate food to them. People should be thankful for how much food they have. People should also appreciate if they have a family. Did you know that a lot of kids don t have a family because their mother and father died or put them in a foster home because they don t have money to eat or drink. But I have a family and they love me because they respect me so I respect them. They also support me so I can achieve my goals. My family also haves fun by going to parties and going out to eat. Kids should be happy that they have a family. Everyone should be grateful for what they have. Everybody should be thankful for what they have because some people, or families don t have them but wish to. Everybody should be thankful and be appreciated for what they have. Ryan F. Be Thankful for Everything Some people have no thanks because they re poor and you should be thankful for your house, good school, and food. What if you didn t have food or water or a house so don t beg for something and when you do just remember the homeless kids who would love that toy but they can t afford it so be thankful. I am thankful for a house because if you don t have a house. You wouldn t survive a really cold winter and probably die from hyperthermia. Another reason to be thankful to have a house is that if it was a hot day and you don t have a house you could get really bad sunburn and sun cancer and you probably don t want that to happen to you. Another reason to be thankful in your life is that you have a good school because if you didn t you would probably not get that educated because the school is poor. You wouldn t have good teachers because they don t have a lot of money to get good teachers. And your school wouldn t have enough money to get a good playground and good air conditioning The last reason to be thankful is have food because if you didn t have food you would probably die in at least 10 days dying from hunger. Without food you wouldn t have any energy in your body and feel weak. Just remember to be thankful for everything you have because some people don t have anything to be thankful for.

Big Fat Turkey By Jenna One day I was walking down the street on Thanksgiving. But guess what? I saw a BIG FAT TUR- KEY! He looks yummy, I said. Maybe I should kill it so I can bring it home for my family to eat. I think that would be a good idea. So I called someone to come and help me kill it. I m so excited to eat it! I said. alling leaves pples eaves ogs By Gabriella grade 1 Thanksgiving Dinner By Aidan, Erdet, & Charles ields are harvested ll the leaves are gone ess daylight ong cold nights Thanksgiving dinner is hard to beat, because everything is good to eat. We like Thanksgiving because there is turkey, it there was no Thanksgiving we d be eating beef jerky. When Thanksgiving dinner ends, I feel like I am going to bend. 24 Jameson G. Reasons Why I m Thankful Every Thanksgiving I like to look back and think of what I have and many people wish I had so when you say everyone has it,so I want it well that s not true think about African people. Nobody can have everything you don t need everything there is kids like us that don t have a army food anything its not dumb that you don t have what you want, but you can t have everything. I will have three reasons why. First thing I am thankful for is my health if I had not had a healthy body I wouldn t be able to wrestle play football or baseball. Many people can not do that because sickness, like cancer, lung disease even because doing bad habits like smoking. some people don t have the body or don t fit right in that position that s something to think about it s not their fault, but you don t want to mess around and cry that you can t do that because you can do it do it for the people that can t even walk. Second thing I am thankful for is for are Strong country Like the Navy seals. We are lucky some country don t have a country that can even come close to defending someone we lucky little kids in our country don t go to war. Like the Civil war. I am glad that we have freedom in our country and not a lot of slaves anymore. America is united! Lastly I would like to talk about my family. family is everything to love to courage. I am thoughtful that my family beliefs in me and, that s why I got trough winning state for wrestling if i didn t have a family i don t know what i would do. I am thankful, but almost everyone has something to think about well I no I do and I m proud of it. Samir F. Reasons to be Thankful In this paper, there are different things to be thankful for. Read on to learn more about the 3 things like having a good family, also have a good home, and have enough to eat. My family loves me very much and cares about me. Also they support me everywhere I go. My family is thankful for me because I do a lot of stuff for them and myself. For example I help them do a lot of chores like dishes and more, and they help me when ever I want something they get it for me. Like they make food for me they make whatever I want and they take me out everywhere I want to go. I have such a good home like my roof and my windows too. Also my stairs because if we did not have stairs we would not get what we want. Like if your kitchen is downstairs, and you did not have stairs you could not have anything to eat. I am also thankful for everything that is on my house, and in my house and my backyard also my pond also my fishtank and my fish that live in it. I am also thankful for my school and my education and what I learn in school. I have so much to eat like vegetables. Also I am thankful for the fruits I have and I am thankful for the breakfast/lunch/dinner that my mom makes me. My mom makes new food every day and always is so happy to make it for us. My dad brings home food that we love when my mom does not cook. My mom always goes to the grocery store to get fresh food to cook for dinner and makes different dinners sometimes because we do not always like the same food. She always makes sure that we are full and is always willing to cook food if we are hungry. On Thanksgiving s day, you should read this to learn what I am thankful for. The three things I am most thankful for my family, my house and my food. People are thankful for many different things. What are you thankful for?

Laasya RIENDS PPLES OTS OF LEAVES EAVES By A.J. grade 1 Do you know why you are thankful? Well I do, and, I ll tell you why. The first reason why I m thankful is because,i have parents. The school has teachers. The best part is the school doesn t have holes in the school. Well, that s all for now! See you next time! ALL IS BEAUTIFUL Turkey Tom By Charles Once upon a time there was a turkey named Tom. Tom wasn t any turkey, he was a fast turkey. Boy how Tom could run. He could run from one place to another in less than a second. One day Tiger challenged Tom to a race. Tom practiced a bunch and a bunch until the race day. I love my yaya because she takes care of me when my mom is working. Me and my family go on the most exciting and fun vacations ever! one time we went to Branson, MO. My mom said it was like Vegas only more family oriented. Always be thankful for your home, because some people don t have one. I m thankful for my home because it is clean and healthy so I do not get sick, or when I am sick it is easier to get better. I also have a pool, it is so much easier to just go down to the basement and then just jump into the pool. I also love my room, it had all the amenities that I could possibly ask for in a room. I m also thankful for my school. I get a great education there. We use computers almost every day! My school also has cool clubs to join and fun assemblies to go and watch/ participate in. I also love my teacher, she is hilarious, because she tells us funny jokes. Thanksgiving or not, everybody should be thankful for what they have every day of the year. Velizar N. Every you should be thankful of a good family school and a home. This paper is about why you should be thankful. I am thankful for having a home, my room has its own comfy bed in the room with its own play room with toys like cars trucks, and my very own desk to do my homework and with a mirror and a dresser and finally a closet. I have a good school. The reason i have a good school because the teachers have gone to a good collage and that s what gave me education. My school is good because it can afford very big assemblies. My school is good because it lets us have are own supplies. I have a good family. I have a good family because my dad works hard for the house and my mom works hard in the house to take care of me and cleans the house. My family is good because ii have a healthy cat named Minty. On Thanksgiving you should ALWAYS be happy what you have like a home school and a family!

BRECK P. How Being Thankful is so Important The next time you complain about our life, stop and think about other people who have cancer or are in a wheel chair. Those people smile even though they have something wrong with them and there is no reason to be crying if you don t get what you want because you have a pretty good life. The first reason I am thankful for my life is my home. The reason my home is one of the things I am thankful for is because First, I m just glad that my family is not poor and can not afford a house. Next,I have a nice warm bed for me to sleep in that keeps me warm during cold nights because Illinois does get very cold. Last, I have a big backyard for me and my sisters and my puppy to play in. The next reason I am thankful for all the great things in my life is my family, because I can always count on them to encourage me the most they can and support me in doing things that I believe is right. They also care about me when I m upset and love me. I m also thankful for my sister s and my puppy because they're always fun to hang out with and the love me too. The last reason I m thankful for all the things in my life is health. The reason why is because America is not poor and there is food to eat think about the people in Africa who have people raising money just so they can have clean drinking water but if you visit them they will have the brightest smile. So think about it if you lived in Africa put yourself in their shoes and think would you be smiling if you had no home had dirty water and no food that s all I ve got to say. Jackie Time for Being Thankful Are you thankful for things you have well you should be because there are lots of other people who don t have the things you have. One thing I m thankful for is my house because have you ever go down the street and see a person homeless guess what I bet they want a home so don t complain your house is too small think of the homeless people. Ding! Ding! Hear that. That is the sound of the school bell! It is lunch time and were having hot lunch. I m thankful for hot lunch and a good school because some families are poor and don t have enough money to pay for a good school or hot lunch. Also some people don t have enough money to go to school! My last and the one I am most thankful for is my family because they help me and love me very much. Also help me with homework and are kind. Now that you know about other people and their life you should be thankful for what you have.

Gavin Hi do you know why it is important to be thankful. No did you say no okay. Well I dooooooooooooo!! You should be respectful to your parents because they pay for a roof over your head. Your parents pay for you to go to school and get an education. Your parents give you clothes so you're not naked. So respect your parents kids. A school gives you an education. A school lets you make new friends. A school has computers to mess around but don t mess around seriously. There are a lot of things to be thankful for in life so I suggest make life worth it. Kenneth I m thankful for a lot of things, you should be to. I'm thankful for my parents, because they pay for my food. Also they make sure I get a great education. We also have a very great time with our family. Our family likes being healthy. We prepare a thankful tasty feast.our parents set up a healthy meal on the thanksgiving feast. Our families give us the food to stay alive and to stay very healthy. Another thing I m thankful for is my luxuries that not many kids have because they are very poor. Many children don t have anything so we should be thankful for what we have and share with them. We should be able to share with the people who don t have anything than just being greedy. Were lucky to have a home that millions of people don t have. We should be thankful if you think about it if we were poor we would want other people to care for us and donate resources for us such as food, water, maybe toys. We must stand up and help everybody who doesn t have anything to be thankful for. To make the world a better place. By Jade, Jannete, Kendall, & Alani, grade 4.

Thanksgiving Thanksgiving is when you give thanks for what you have. Our class is thankful for enough to eat, a good school and a great country. Thankful people help our community. One way we are thankful for our country is we have enough to eat. One reason for this is we have good soil to grow plants and we have stoves and refrigerators to cook our food. If we didn t have enough food we would starve. We have a really good school. We have helpful electronics to help us study. Our school has enough paper for us to have throughout the year. Intelligent people learn every day. We are thankful for our country. We are thankful for our country because we have a good president and we have freedom. Another way we are thankful for our country is we have laws that are fair. In conclusion thanksgiving is an American holiday that nobody will forget thanksgiving because it s a holiday that everyone comes together. By Bryan, Joey, Charles, and Andrew Kadin grade 4 I am happy we have these all these things like We are thankful for parents because they give us a roof over our heads or we would be on the streets of Bloomingdale. Also we are thankful for a school because we would be dumb so we go to school every day. We re thankful for food because if we didn t have enough food we would starve to death. If we had no water we would be dehydrated. Other countries don t have food and water so we are thankful we have food and water. This is why we thank all we have and don t complain! Joey I am thankful for many things like my parents and food/drinks because PARENTS +My Parents pay for things like my clothes and food for me. +They drive me places that i want to go and i m thankful. +MY parents care for me when i need it and so i m very very thankful that i have them. FOOD/DRINKS +I m thankful for food/drinks because some people in different countries don t have a lot of food. +I m thankful because we have unlimited water to live healthy. +We have tasty food that we don t have to pay that much for and people in other countries don t have as good as food as us. I am very much thankful for what I have and good food and great parents.

Thanksgiving I am thankful for many things. The three things that I am mostly thankful for is having a home, having good luxuries, and having a great family. These things are great to have. The first thing that I am thankful for is my home. If I did not have a home I would not have a good life. Having a home may be difficult because not everyone has enough money, but I do so I am lucky. It s good having a home because it protects you from any severe weather storms. Having a home is a lot of money, but it is worth it. The next thing I am thankful for is having good luxuries. Luxuries are things that you do not need, but are nice to have. For example (tvs, game consoles, and xboxes). These luxurie are great to have, but it can affect your health. I have luxuries and I have to admit they are fun, but still I cannot stay inside the whole day and I could be outside in the fresh air. If you play it too long you could get a headache. My family is great. If I did not have a good family I would not be happy. Many people do not have a good family or they don't have a family at all. Having a family is good because they help you out with many things like getting you places. Families are great to have and I am thankful to have one. In conclusion I am thankful for many things but I am still sad for those people that do not have the things I have like a home, luxuries and family.
