These four ideals are life, liberty, pursuit of happiness and equality. Our founding fathers were very direct on the notion that the government in place to protect these right. If the government fails to protect these rights, the government should be changed. Today, my life and my ability to live is still is protected by a Declaration written over 200 years ago. Since life is one of the ideals of our country, that means the government must make laws and decisions that show it values my life and the lives of all Americans. That is why we have speed limits on our roads, safety warnings required on potentially dangerous products and laws against hurting and murdering other human beings. Life is precious and it must be protected by our government or that government needs to be replaced or changed. Another of our unalienable rights or ideals is the right to liberty.
