President: Lou Gembolis KG8NK (was excused) The meeting was called to order at 7:00pm By the Jack N8JRN. Introduction and Attendance: The Club had 15 members and 2 guests in attendance. Secretary s Report: The December meeting was the Christmas party therefore there is no report for December. Treasurer s Report: Treasurer Lucille KD8PTE gave the report for both November and December. A motion to accept the report was made by Rich N8GBA and seconded by Bill KC8EWD. Correspondence: We received a 'Thank You' card from Linda KG8JX for our donation to the ARRL education fund in memory of John KG8JW and a letter from ARRL acknowledging the donation. We also received our pens which we ordered and a catalog. Committee Reports: A. Repeaters/Tech.- Paul KB0P stated that all 6 repeaters are working good. All of them will soon have the Club's call sign on them. We have a 440 repeater on the Marquette Tower (442.200). It is a stand alone repeater and needs no tone. It is both analog and digital (yeasu form).

Club Minutes: January 07, 2016 page, 5 B. Ares/Races- Jack N8JRN reported the HF net on Wed. night has not been going good for the last 3 weeks. The propagation has been poor. In 2016, EOC will move from the State Police Post to K.I. Sawyer Airport and we will possibly be moving out there too. C: Other- No reports. Old Business: A: Swap and Shop 2/06/16 Fred KD8JIP reported everything is pretty well set. We need raffle tickets need to be sold. B: Newsletter Blyne KE8ARN may not be able to do it so we are looking for someone to at least help him with it New Business: A: Nokie 01/23/2016 Rich N8GBA reported the race is still a go. As always, we need volunteers to cover the stations. B: UP 200 Sled Dog Race Paul KB0P reported the 200 will start at 7 and the midnight run will start around 8:30. The governor is suppose to be up and doing a ceremonial run at the beginning of the race. There has been some changes at the Wetmore site and we may need another set of ham operators. As always, we need volunteers to cover the stations. C: I Gate Steve N8MLI has one up on the hill running 24 hours a day for APARs. (GPS hooked up to the radio) D: 50/50 Drawing: Congratulations to Aaren Joki KD8OIR. A motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 by Steve N8MLI and supported by Ralph N8HXG.
