Staff Liaison Report: The New Process. See handouts from PowerPoint presentation, (Page 7) The Minutes item from the SAF-AAC Correlating Committee s November 6, 2012 meeting follows: Definitions. The committee agreed to have each defined term assigned to a specific technical committee so that committee would have responsibility for the maintenance and revision of such term. A task group is to be formed after the Second Draft meetings of the current revision cycle. The task group will report to the Correlating Committee (CC) its recommendations for the definitions assignments in time for the CC to review the recommendations at its first meeting of the 2018 revision cycle. Each Technical Committee chair is asked to identify a member to serve on the task group.

The committee reviewed and resolved 10 public inputs. The committee created seven (7) first revisions and one (1) committee input. 6. New Business. The committee created and the Chair appointed members to the following task groups who are charged with completing their work in time to submit them as public comments prior to the closing date: a. Task group on Site impracticality : Jake Pauls, Eleanor Smith. John Rickard, Shelly Siegel and Shane Cleary. The Chair will draft the charge and e-mail to members. b. Task group on Updating Extracts : The Chair and staff will draft this work and send out to the committee prior to submitting for public comment. 7. Date and Location of Next Meetings. Comm. Adding new material at the Comment stage could successfully be challenged through appeal to the Standards Council 20 Voting: Voting during meeting is used to establish a sense of agreement (simple majority) Formal vote secured by letter ballot (2/3 agreement) Only the formal ballot determines the committee s official position on the Second Draft 21 Page 13 of 18 7
