Colonial Square Homes December 11, 2014 Board Meeting NEWSLETTER MINUTES The board convened at 5;30. Present were : Richard Gibson, President; Leslie LaMarche, first vice president; and Debra Capps, treasurer. Mark Shoffner, Secretary, joined the meeting at 6:35. Also attending were Dudley Leonard, Cooperative Attorney; Clifford Abel, Maintenance Superintendent; and Crystal Keeton, On-site Manager; Open Session Meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM. The Board observed a moment of silence. Tim Karney with Metro Public Safety distributed a police department crime map of the neighborhoods surrounding Colonial Square. Crystal reported for the pet committee. No violations were cited. In the monthly office report for November, Crystal reported 4 new waiting list applicants, 3 move-ins and 1 move-out, 27 statement of charges due, 14 statement of credit, 24 defaults. One sent to Dudley and 1 miscellaneous complaint that was taken care of. Movie - Did You Know In every episode of Seinfeld there is a reference to Superman. There are 22 stars in the Paramount studios logo. The movie Pulp Fiction cost $8 million to make with $5 million going towards actor's salaries. The movie 'Wayne's World' was filmed in two weeks. The film 'Mary Poppins' was filmed entirely indoors. All of the clocks in the movie 'Pulp Fiction' are fixed to 4:20. 55% of all movies are rated R. 'Babe' was played by over 50 pigs. The first James Bond movie was called 'Dr. No'. Before beginning his movie career Keanu Reeves managed a pasta shop in Toronto Canada. The 1st full length animated film was released by Disney Studios in 1937 (it was Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs). Cliff gave the House and Grounds and Maintenance Superintendent reports for October: In tract A 0 units tagged; tract B, 0 units tagged. Tract A had 1 parking violation and tract B had 2 parking violations. There were 144 work orders completed in November. There were 14 rehabs, and 3 coming. They will be attempting 4 move-ins in January. Page 11
Slow Cooked Beef Stroganoff There was a tree that was split was removed. Grinding the stump will take place on Monday and should be finished next week. A tract inspections were completed. B tract inspections are starting next week. Ingredients: 1 1/2 lb. stew meat 1 onion, diced 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 can reduced-fat cream of mushroom soup 1 cup Greek yogurt 1 cup low-sodium beef broth 1 bag wide noodles Tim Karney reported for security. He is seeing a lot of expired tags. A reminder will go out in the Town Crier regarding the importance of having up to date tags on cars. No tickets will be given for expired tags. There have been several instances where car trunks have been left open. It was suggested that an article be placed in the Town Crier reminding people to be sure their car trunks are closed. Meeting ended at 7:15. Directions: 1. Add all ingredients except the noodles to a crockpot. Mix well. 2. Heat on low for 7-8 hours. 3. Before serving, cook noodles as usual. 4. Once the noodles are cooked, add to the crockpot and combine with stroganoff mixture. 5. Cook for an additional 20-30 minutes. 6. Serve and enjoy! Page 3

Place them NEXT to the office mulch bin at west end of Maintenance building. Thank you for your cooperation. SENSIBLE TRASH DISPOSAL If your normal dumpster is full please do not leave bags on the ground next to it. If possible locate another dumpster that is not overflowing. HOLIDAY LIGHTS All outdoor holiday lights and decorations are to be taken down by February 1, 2015. If Maintenance has to remove them your account will be charged. Snow Removal To help aid the maintenance department with snow removal we ask that you remove all items from your front stoop and sidewalks. When the snow gets deep or drifts items get buried and maintenance can not see them. The cooperative will not be responsible for any damage caused to items that are left out. Page 7
